Do I need to disconnect my battery or is it enough to turn off the lights via the dashboard button. Live wire?

Does the original harness come off or do you have to cut and replace it?

I spliced it into the original harness lead wires.

Would anyone know why all my lights work and hi beams work but my low beam head lights isn’t working. Would appreciate any advice. I tried looking for a fuse maybe and replaced the headlights
