I almost ordered all kind of expensive stuff but found your video before clicking the order button. I already had compound and a Milwaukee M12 BPS-0. So, I tried this method and I was sceptic but it worked absolutely amazing on my daily, a BMW E61 530i, the same headlights as in the video. Looks like new headlights, honestly. Thank you very very much for this.

@@TheGreenMachineLandcruiser headlights were roughly around 2 hours, fog lights were like at least 15 minutes and the side markers were roughly the same as fog lights
Spend an extra 5min and tape off the surrounding paint around the headlight, or youll ne spending more time and money to correct the paint....OR stay off the paint as much as you can. That HEAVY compound WILL leave your paint scuffed and swirled tf up and looking VERY rough! Yeah its FOR paint, but its meant to be follwed with a finer polish and then a wax.
This method is good if you protect the reflector with a coating afterwards. Much better effect, gives the “kettle” method, because it regenerates the structure of the lamp plastic and you do not need to classify the protection at the end.
Well dang. I'd assumed that it had to be removed and the interior buffed, but just the exterior? This looks easy. I'm looking to get an early 2000s 5 series

@@TheGreenMachineLandcruiser you didn't clean the car, you spread headlight contamination from the headlight to the car paint, and you applied uneven pressure due to focusing on the headlight meaning that paint is going to be damaged lol I would be pissed off if I was your buddy I would also no longer be your buddy

I just tried this and it didn’t work, idk if the drill I got from auto zone is not strong enough but it didn’t work. I got the compound, pink wool pad and the drill, the drill was the only thing different.
you want a high speed drill, and out pressure. Try a 2500-3000 rpm drill from harbor freights (then return it..) to get results. The Makita BO6040 has orbital and rotational spinning.. If using a drill, you can also get the 3" orange pads... best ones are the Griots Garage (3 for $15)
You wax the lights afterwards. I put wax and 1 day later I put Silex Recharge Ceramic spray. After 1 year, still looks great. Everytime I wash my car, I do a final wipe down with a microfiber and the Recharge ceramic spray. Leaves the car looking just waxed, builds up the ceramic spray and I always wipe the lights at the same time.
@@TheGreenMachineLandcruiser ceramic spray does not prevent headlight fogging, it just deflects road debris fogging comes from UV damage you destroyed the factory clearcoat by using compound designed for paint and you did not even reapply the clearcoat
