Hey bud. They came out looking good. I was curious about all the extra wires I saw in the pictures online so this video answered my question. How is the light output with those led’s through those projectors? And how’s the cutoff on those projectors? Nice and crisp like a projector is suppose to be or is it off? Did you ever get any light out indicators from this setup? Btw, just a recommendation if you ever do mk6 Jetta headlight again. Don’t take that top metal cover off or the bumper. Pull those 3 or 4 headlight bolts off and push the outter part of the headlight in and you can angle the whole headlight out. There was a recall for the mk6 headlights when they first came out for internal wiring. I had the headlight out, rewired and reinstalled in under 5 minutes. Best time was 3 minutes 20 seconds per side iirc.
And now i've got the headlights! What is the harness you've used between the OEM harness and teh VLand light? It seems i need different pin layout between the two.
@@NatriumAuto I'm having the same issue. Installed the Vland headlights and the DRLs don't work. Mine didn't come with the adapter harness that's wired between the oem and the Vland headlights. Anyone know where to purchase these please?
How did you make that Cold Air Intake? or is that a kit? Also, great vid! this has been the most detailed and CLEAR video ive seen for headlight installs.
hvelazquez01 thank you very much! The intake i took the air box off and bought some intake pipes and the air filter from advanced autoparts and put them together nothing fancy lol. I have to get an actual kit for the cold air.
Subscribed! Nice video...I just got my VLAND's. I went with the same LED bulbs. Your video saved me a lot of confusion...didn't know if I needed those H7 adapters or retainers.....but I see from your video they are not needed....thanks
@@AdonayLopez bro, did you find it difficult to adjust the side to side of these vlands? I keep turning and turning the screw but the light beam doesn't move.......I think I'm going to try with a power tool not a screwdriver...see if that helps.
@@r_s1776 what i did was just put all the screws in the position they’re supposed to go and move the headlights around until i like the position it was sitting at and then started to tighten them one by one but not completely tight just in case you have to move the light again.
And also for the taillights is there another red wire to run to the right tail light? Cause u skipped over it and you only ran one pink wire down for the brake light does the other side have it
Question, I'm about to buy this sets. I have a 2016 Jetta sportline, did you had to do something additional to plug them? For example, my model does not have DRL, and this headlamps does, is it necessary to take it to VW to make a change on the computer? Or by plug them in is ok to use head and tail lamps??
Your videos are amazing! Great work and great explanation, one question. I too, have an MK6 Jetta and bought the same headlights and tail lights. Which bulbs do these require?? Is it H7??
@@CASPERMOB If you mean the stock halogens, the difference is specifically that because these bring LED's. If you mean Difference from high and low beams on the front headlights, then the difference is the wattage they can withstand or receive from the car's electrical system. BTW I'm not a mechanic so if anyone who knows more about the subject wants to ratify or debunk my answer, you're very welcome to.
Hey bud, I’m finally about to order the headlights and taillights. I have 2 quick questions bc I’m seeing different answers. What is the headlight bulb size? I reading some saying h7 and some saying d2s. Question 2 is are there any normal incandescent bulbs in the headlight or taillights so I can order it at the same tine? Thank you in advance bud.

Bro..you need to make a video on how to actually adjust the light beam of these vlands. I'm still not satisfied with mine. The beams are aligned, but both seem to be angled. Idk wtf to do besides leave it..lol
Did you just let the relays for the outer lights hang between the trunk liner and the tail light? Also, have you checked to see how hot the relays get? Mine are extremely hot!
Are the headlights bi projectors? I keep seeing reviews saying nothing happens when turning on high beams. I find it odd they wouldn't use a bi projector being single beam, but I am curious.
@DeAngelo Capron they are bi-projector but single filament bulbs. Mine works fine with modifications I've done. I bought these and had to make some wiring changes as it wasn't working right. They also use a dual bi-projector but cover the other light which means there is a false light turning on with high beams. Potential for fire with how it is.

I have a question though.. does your electrical components (black box w/ wires coming out) for the outer lights get extremely hot? Just wondering if that's normal or an issue I should be concerned about...
@@418iiwhat he's saying is that he didn't seem to connect the bottom right, aka the right side outer lights, to the rest of the wiring. Basically it seems like the outer right lights wouldn't work because he didn't connect them in the video. Maybe he skipped that part because in the end the right outer lights seem to be working but I'm not sure
@@inquizition9672 if I understand right, boot is saying that you only need to connect it down the left side. the left side is already hooked up to the right internally

Adonay Lopez, great video!!! Any idea where I can order the wiring harness that goes between the oem harness and the Vland connector? They were not included with my the headlights. DRL lights not working, everything else is.
I had this same issue. Did some research. On my VW plug the DRL are pin 10 and on the VLAND it should be pin 1. I tested with a jumper and then replaced the pin when I confirmed it worked. Everyone I've read who tried this says it works
There are adjustment screws, I think they are a gold color...put screwdriver in and turn until the beam is where u want it.......the up n down screw is the far left and far right screw....check vland website for locations
Not sure if you still have this vehicle but did you ever experience any problems with the headlights? I've read people saying that the bulbs would get to hot and melt the housing.
Unfortunately i don’t have the car anymore, but i had no issues with overheating, i did use the LEDs with the fan in the back to help dissipate the heat.
Hopefully you still reply, I installed these step by step like you did and I got a 02 Sensor code and Im not sure what I did wrong would you have a explanation?
I just ordered some headlights and I am thinking about ordering some taillights as well. On a scale from 1- 10, how difficult do you think all this is for your average Jetta owner??
Just bought headlights and the bulbs for my 2015 Jetta tdi does everything come with the headlights like the adapter and do I have to do additional wiring ?
Unfortunately no because your year the tail lights in the trunk change and are smaller. I’ll see if i can fin some similar ones and if i do I’ll send you the link.
No i haven’t noticed any leaking on the car. You could try to check for a missing rubber seal. Or could try to put some waterproof silicone around the opening.
I got the red with the smoke look, there are some blacked out ones but I didn't like those. I left the link in the description for the exact ones I got.
@@AdonayLopez so no red wire runs from the inner right side to the outer right side. There’s only one pink wire that goes to the left one? I think I’m a little confused my taillights come in in about 2 weeks just wanna make sure I understand how to instal before doing it thank you man
@@madisonjay8384 i understand, the red wire that i had to run down the driver side hinge of the trunk it’s to give power (brake light) to both inner Taillights because the oem ones do not come with that feature. One long red wire is the one that connects to the driver side brake light wire on the outer taillight; and one smaller red wire that connects both inner taillights together. Hope i was able to explain it well. Any questions write again 👍🏼

So currently I am having a problem where I don’t have any backup lights, I put my car in reverse and my backup lights do not activate.... anybody know anything about that?
Check the connection on the trunk lid thats where the connectors for the reverse lights are at. If its all good there, check the fusebox for blown fuses.
Hello again sorry to bother you I really need some help I tried to fit these exact headlights in my vw jetta and it’s fits perfectly but the headlights won’t go from dip to full beam for me beacause the original headlights have one light for dip and one for full beam I can’t contact vland who I bought the headlights from and don’t know what to do is there anyway to fix this problem I would really appreciate your advise thank you
Hello friend, unfortunately I’m not familiar with this issue. What i know is that the new headlights have a mechanism inside that switches from the low beam to the high beam using only the one bulb. Are you having issues with both left and right or is it only one. Maybe the motor inside is defective or the wiring harness has some issues. Are you using the adapter that came in the box?
No problems inside I did not get an adapter inside box this could be the problem I tried contacting vland but got no response but thank you very much for your help 🤙
@@AdonayLopez ty bro , I have a question friend, I hope you can support me, I bought the vland kit, led with a red angel eye, my car is a 2016 jetta mk6, I already installed everything and activated the drl, and everything was fine, but the red eye does not light up , the seller says that this is a special function that my car must have .. but I don't know why it does not turn on if the drl is already activated in the computer and the white led bar if it turns on drl, only the red eye does not, you know how to activate it or what is the problem?
@@rdws.d8 unfortunately i haven’t heard of this issue. It must be a separate function like they say. You might be missing the pin in the oem conector that makes the red eye light up. Compare both the headlights plug and the one in your car to see if that is the problem. If it is you might have to create a bypass from the DRLs to the red eye to have it on at the same time. Wish i was there with you to help out more.
