"Headline Season", a highlight film of the Buffalo Sabres' 1996-97 Northeastern Division Championship season. It was the Sabres' first season in (then) Marine Midland Arena, and culminated in Derek Plante's Game 7 overtime goal to defeat the Ottawa Senators in round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs; Hart, Vezina, and Pearson Trophies for Dominik Hasek, The Selke Trophy for Michael Peca, and the Jack Adams Award for Ted Nolan. Film is hosted by Rick Jeanneret.

This was the start of the best era in Sabres history. The Dominik Hasek era where he made this logo iconic and gave opponents nightmares of stopping there best shots! And then the 1999 Stanley Cup finals! I don't care what any one says, the "Angry Bison head" was the best Sabres logo EVER and so the awesome jerseys.

I miss these days. I remember my dad would come Home with a vhs tape of the season being a ticket holder and my brother and I would be dancing freaking out and would all sit and watch it as soon as he walked in the door. Yeah. He’s the only good announcer Buffalo’s ever gonna have. The old one was OK. But he doesn’t hold a candle to RJ. And that Dan guy sucked ass. I just hope Buffalo finds a way to get at least that final playoff spot.
