Its such a tell that the author does in fact know full well what Adams is being charged with, spending so long playing dumb and then specifically only bringing up turkish bribery only after trying to construct a framework where that specifically would be fine
The part where the author complained about dems backing Hamas made me so mad and brought to mind the uncle junior quote “shes like a woman with a Virginia ham under her arms crying the blues cause she has no bread.”
Why is the word overused then? Are you a boomer? idk why else you'd think this way, like the top 10 international issues of my lifetime are all the sole fault of Israel or America, literal fascist hellholes...
Tablet is so weird. As long as they're sticking to topics like the history of sufganiyot, their reporting is thoughtful, nuanced, and insightful, but if politics comes into it in any way, they start wilding out.
They had some pretty nuanced (occasionally critical even) reporting on Israel until just a couple years ago. Hell in 2009 Leibovitz wrote an article criticizing Israel's conduct in the 2008 Gaza war
@@berdyderg900 They're fine. He was a media/comms professor, and if you know anything about how being a professor works ,while still always ultra libbed up, he was more or less subdued. None of this horrible take is anywhere near the professor's actual area of competency.
@@Luminousreign like I understand that the despicable things he personally believes are separate from his career as a 'comms expert' (lol) but his entire discipline is communicating ideas to others and he fucking sucks at it ???
@@berdyderg900Does he suck at it, or is he being close minded and intellectually dishonest, as many professors are. The entire article is an excercise in hiding the ball, he knows what Adams did and is pretending like he wrote the article early so he can misleadingly set up a highly contextually dependent defense before actually introducing what Adams did. I dont know who his audience is, but that is an effective rhetorical strategy and presumably works on them.
