@@rangerwhite5165 I use this line system with a 10ft 7wt guideline NT11 14g body and 12ft 7g tip (in grains it's 216gr with 110gr tip) and it casts beautifully. For Spey casting typically you use grain/g weight of line that is 2 sizes larger than the aftma rating. So a 7wt single hand rod for Spey casting needs a 9wt rated line (with correct taper) to be an effective single hand Spey setup. Crazy complicated I know. However if you have a fast action modern graphite rod I would say for a 7wt you should be anywhere between 260gr to 300gr would be ideal.
