Healesville / Healesville Sanctuary / Day Trip From Melbourne / Homemade Spring Rolls / Van Life 

In this week's episode, I travel with my Mum to Healesville, Australia, in our converted Ford transit campervan. We stayed two nights at
BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane Holiday Park, which I give you a tour of in the episode.
On our first morning, we enjoyed our time at Maroondah Reservoir Park, which is home to the impressive 41-metre-high Maroondah Dam. The dam wall offers a scenic lookout over formal gardens, forested slopes, and the broad, peaceful reservoir lake. Construction on this grand piece of engineering took place from 1920-1927.
For lunch, we ate lunch at Matilda Bay Brewery. They are open for beer tastings, brewery tours, and some great pub food. After lunch, we head to Healesville Sanctuary, where you can wander through the tranquil tracks and meet over 200 species of Australian animals in their natural surroundings.
For dinner that evening we made homemade spring rolls. Our recipe is very simple and can feed a large group of people.
We headed home on our second morning, where on the way home we stopped and visited the Yarra Valley Railway.
We enjoy part-time van life, creating weekly episodes that are live at 5pm (AEST) on Sundays, and sharing our experiences on our travels with our cavoodle, Twyla.
