I liked your video very much and your little kitty is the cutest. Is that lavender that was growing behind you where you were sitting? I think it is an awesome idea to read while in your back yard relaxing. Take a book with you to the beach or gardens too. I can also relate to that too much social media or technology in general. I need to get back to maybe just having the music on in the background low and read, or have it louder when I am cleaning or doing stuff that the music won't distract me. I so need to get the hubby to let go of social media more, he doesn't realize how much he consumes himself.
I’m sorry for your loss. Grief is totally a personal process and we are all different as to how we adjust to a new way of live. What you are planning will help others, ie me too. A year ago on 3 may I lost my best friend my bulllmastiff and 10 years on 6 june my other best friend my Chihuahua. I've never been the same since. 10 years I still haven't been able to be who I was before my loss. Then when my bulllmastiff passed a year ago my heart was ripped out again and what I had left of my soul was completely destroyed. I struggle every minute of every day .With this I don't even recognize myself anymore. I made the decision to rescue a senior Chihuahua in January,I love her so much . I believe my boys are by my side and brought her to me to help me heal. But one furbabie will never replace another. Each one was and is still loved with all I have. It's so hard . 10 years ago my life changed when I lost my first furbabie and has never been the same. Losing my second furbabie took everything out of my heart body and soul. When I rescued bluebell I realized I still have love in my heart especially for furbabies. I believe both my boys charlie and Brutus are by my side , in-between having lots of fun over rainbow bridge,whilst waiting for me to cross over to were they are. So we can all be reunited for all of eternity. These thoughts alone help me get out of bed each day. I send you love and light and I completely understand everything you said in your video. One step at a time that's all we can do xxxx
This is definitely what I'm going through right now. My dog rosey past away two weeks ago and since then I'm completely lost and braking down most days. Sending hugs

You are a wonder & a delight! Such a loving, beautiful woman with a soul to match. I’m so glad that you’ve decided to make the changes in your life that will help you find your way back to YOU. It’s not an easy path & there will most certainty be bumps & obstacles along the way, but you WILL get there. I promise, you will. Just a couple of things to consider perhaps adding to your plan... 🌞I’m thinking that you probably already know about “ Earthing” ( or maybe you have a different name for it down under?) You can look it up if it’s new to you but essentially it’s just connecting with the Earth by walking barefoot on the grass or the dirt, or lying directly on the grass or ground. You just need to be as close to the Earth as possible so that she can work her magic on you. 🌞And remember that anything that you continue to do, over & over, become a habit. Just like brushing your teeth or feeding the kitty. And eventually it’s no longer something you need to consciously remember to do, you just do it, or rather, you just ARE it! Happy, fulfilled, contented, warm & fuzzy & living the life you recognize & love. I hope you continue to share your thoughts & feelings with us as you embark on this Really Big Adventure. That sounds like a good spring project, which herbs are you going to plant? I recently planted up a new herb bed with fennel, chives, oregano, hyssop, chervil, rosemary, sage, summer savory and lavender. I'm excited to see it develop and all the wonderful herb scents.
@@katec9893 I'm in Queensland, Australia so autumn here but because of our climate it's peak planting season anyway 😊 First thing I will put in is wormwood. It's always the queen of my garden. Then probably rosemary, basil, mugwort, borage, sage and feverfew. Your new garden sounds lovely 💜
@@kikiwylde I've not heard of wormwood before. Do you grow Passionflower outdoors there? It's one of my favourite plants but I'm in the UK so it tends to die off in winter here unless in a greenhouse. There's a great gardening channel called Self Sufficient Me run by a guy in Australia, I def recommend it if you've not seen it yet. Happy planting 🌱
@@katec9893 thanks for the recommendation, I'll check that out 😊 wormwood is in the same family as mugwort. It's the herb used in making absinthe. And yes, we have a few different varieties of passionfruit vines in our backyard. They are really easy to grow herw. Just stick them in the ground wkth a fence to cling to and you ca forget about them 🌱
My husband and I are going through this process of change and simplifying right now also, after a year of much loss. Your videos are always so relevant. May your heartache ease with time. Looking forward to your future videos!
Thanks for sharing this with us. I lost my 12.5 year old bunny a few weeks ago and the grief is just starting to ease up. Even as I provided special care to her over the past year, I never actually imagined my life without her, though obviously I knew she wasn't immortal. I've decided to garden through the grief, since she is buried in the back garden. We will find our new path one day at a time. Very sorry for your losses.

Grief is the hardest thing to deal with! I send you so much love honey and I'm so proud of you for being so honest and open and these are important things to talk about. Things will never be the same but you will learn to move forward and find joy again my friend xx

Aw, I'm sorry about your babies! That's so hard! :( But I am glad you are going on to make these changes and update us along the way because I feel like I do the exact same thing, and if someone else is going to do it too, then in a way that holds me accountable.
