From my experience of playing it (around 90 hours, 100% completion) Far Cry Primal is the only Far Cry game with multiple healing animations that seems to consider context. I've only ever seen the arrow ones after getting shot by an arrow... the same cannot be said for 2, 3 or 4. 5 and New Dawn are exempt as they don't have enough animations for it to matter. Kinda wish Primal had spear healing animations though, a similar animation to that rebar in the torso one from 2 would be perfect for it.
@@maewemeetagain i played it in its first available version and when I used primitive heal after an animal attack, the healing animation was just random until the game's first update
@@dogecoin9240 I don't buy games from certain developers (Ubisoft being one of them) at launch, so I never played Primal before the first patch. Good to know, I guess.
The Last of Us 1 Sara: Gets shot in the abdomen, dies Joel: Gets shot multiple times in the face, wraps arm, full health A great many number of games Player: Cut, shot, chunks bitten out, broken bones; has a quick snacc, full health
Tats cause that alcohol is suppose to be made out of that green herbs in the resident evil series, which basically heals any wounds u have repairing damage tissues and regenerating it.
I know this is a joke, but in the lore the medicine causes "spontaneous cellular regeneration". Plus, Ethan is infected with that game's virus, which allows him to regen by the bacteria, similar to the Bakers, but not to the extreme extent
Far cry 4-6 have unique animations for different scenarios like Falling from a drop splinters or broken arm Explosions: shrapnel and metal inside your arm ( hand for driving) and lot more My favorite are the bullet wounds
Ghost Recon: major suffering while bandaging himself GTA 5: *casually eats* Edit: respones rn are an actual battlefield, but thanks for the likes, i didnt expect this
@@ΘεοχαρηςΑποστολακουδης Ultrakill applies better compared to the modern doom games. You literally heal by standing in the blood of your foes, much like prototype.
i like to picture my character as some kind of eldritch undead, filled with wounds from previous attempts on my life, and just dealing with the biggest one whenever you need the extra mobility. like you shoot a giant zombie with a shotgun and it just pulls an iron rod out of its leg so it can chase you faster.
*literally impaled with dislocated arms, legs and fingers Player: I’ll probably die Far cry: well yes but actually no *proceeds to harshly heal themselves
General note for everyone: If you have something penetrating your skin and potentially veins, blood vessels, muscles, etc., DO NOT PULL IT OUT. Because it is applying pressure to those areas that will otherwise bleed if you remove it. Leave that decision to the EMTs, Doctors, or Surgeons
4 also did the brutal part of healing animations pretty well, fc 5 and new dawn only have 4 unique animations that are played randomly but ghost recon breakpoint is probably the best.
@@romanovchinnikov5100 i mean wouldn't say its better than any of them, but the satisfaction level of seeing the thing go all the way up with the sounds is just something different
@@romanovchinnikov5100 pretty sure far cry 2 has the monopoly on those realistic healies for sure, ashame they just got worse as the series went on tho
I love how fortnite is actually 1 of the best techniques. Applies anti-septic, applies bandage directly to wound, and then raps bandage to maintain direct pressure on wound.
I dont get why skyrim usually gets involved with the food heals a near death experience discussion, other games yeah, but in skyrim a big part of that game is magic, you literally have a spell that heals you!
Well... now that im studying medicine, i can tell you, that guy is dead, he is bleeding to death, not only that but also has internal hemorrages thanks to pulling out the thing bloking the blood flow, and because of the position he was impaled in a vital organ, so... yeah even more blood loss :/
@@koyooko5160 thats.... not that dangerous, it could perforate an artery and damage the synovial bag or ligaments, but depending of the size and position isn't that dangerous, nothing that some bandages and compression, with enough rest can't cure
@@lotrlmao1648 very unfortunate its not very popular now, given that tech is finally at the point to effectively support a proper open world of the scale prototype wanted. like if they just remade the original prototype up to the standards of spiderman ps4 i would be a very happy man.
I really like the old far cry quick heal up animations , the ones where you pull out bullets or pieces of debris caused mid battle , gives a lot of depth to the actual fight
Infamous: ahhhh, electricity Infamous 2: ahhhhh, electricity Infamous second son: ahhhhhh CONCRETE, NEON LIGHT, VIDEO ENERGY, AND SMOKE, HA. TRULY A DELICACY.
guy in far cry 4: * burns * also guy in far cry 4 : * use bandages * am okay shark : * bites guy in far cry 3 * guy in far cry 3 : I H A V E B R O K E N A R M
I can’t help but see most of these healing animations as difficultly painful. Like having to fight through the pain as you pull your arm back in place.
@@LittleBigPlanetian You should see the reverse animations of Farcry 2, I used to get people see them especially when he shoved nails into his fingers.
I’m seeing all of these people who just can’t stand looking at wounds n shit, meanwhile I’m so desensitised to all gore that I could probably drink a bottle of ketchup while watching a guy get decapitated. (exaggerated, but you get the point)
4:03 I saw this and thought "Hey, those look like the electricity particles in TF2" so I googled what engine it runs on, and sure as shit it runs on source
the devs of Far Cry 2 truly turned the healing animations into a gruesome work of art, each and every one of them is disturbingly detailed and the number of different animations depending on the kind of wound you get is unbelievable, in no other Far Cry entry has there ever been such an amount and so gut twisting detailed like in FC2 xD
