Healing the Feeling of Overwhelm 

Gary, today is Fathers Day and after over 2 hours of primal tears, excruciating body pain and 😖 the long, repressed fear emerged. As a source of empowerment to all who acknowledge you I say Thank you for being the father source so many of us needed and wanted and never had. After 73 years, on this Earth, at least, for today I am grateful to be aware of free of this one long generational fear. Namaste.

splendid Serendipity!!! What a gift this was there on my screen when I opened RU-vid, I possibly almost sabotaged yet another thing... Ive a deadline tomorrow and an incomplete assignment...to further act compulsively would bring painful and unhelpful consequences ...again! Now and newly, I challenge the overwhelm, I respond not react, ill feel the fear and do it anyway, ill challenge this frightened part of my personality, i bring gratitude, appreciation, patience, i add loving kindness too, and be my lifetime possibility of compassion. Thank you Gary for this reminder and teaching on reconnecting with my authentic power.

Hey Gary! My introduction to your work was from your book 'The Dancing Wu Li Masters' and subsequently read every book you have authored since then. Funny how you can have the knowledge and lack the understanding to apply it in your life. There is a saying that 'when the student is ready the teacher appears'. Another hermetic saying is 'the lips of wisdom are closed except to the ears of understanding'. I guess when you are ready to hear something it comes into your life. I have come full circle and here you are again teaching me. I am much older now and today your words changed my thinking, or maybe my thinking changed because of your words. Thank you for being my teacher when I needed it! Things seem to click in place when they need to. Some pieces fell together today and I am grateful for you!

Gary, I sobbed for over 10 minutes when you spoke the truth of external triggers (those physical thoughts, words, actions and beliefs of others) that cause to activate in us 😔, repressed internalized pain, hurt, angst, fear , insecurity, intolerance or uncertainty that manifests itself in destructive ways to others and ourselves. Somewhere, in my traumatic childhood, when I had no language, no verbal power to defend, to stand up and speak out against an unkind and unloving remark or incident that wounded me emotionally, morally and spiritually and had me frozen, in that moment until today at age 73. Free at last, Free at last, gratitude for the part of my childhood innocence that had been frozen for generations to finally be thawed at age 73.I can now willingly make amends , break the cycle and honor my purpose for having been born. 😂 Be willing to break the generational cycles, Yay😉

So lucky to have people like Gary Zukav, Anita Moorjani and others like them who are spending their lives helping others.

Hello to whom ever may read this. For the record I'd like to state that in no way do I mean to disrespect Mr. Zukav.I agree with much of his philosophy of understanding the soul, the you outside and inside the you, and going with the flow etc. I am going to give my thought in reference to examples that make you feel overwhelmed.Yes, it is and can be stressful when it comes to money. ( one of the examples he gave) . There are and can be circumstances in which absolutely "are " outside of ourselves. I don't think most people want to change the world, just the present situation, and a lot of times it is a financial struggle or hardship..We all are living entities.With that said what differentiates us from other species is a conscience, emotions, feelings, and the ability to think. That is what you do every waking moment is to think. To come to a resolution when it comes to whatever is causing the overwhelm in one's life.Changing the situation. Not the world.

Was sensitive my whole life and had a full blown awakening this year and needed this... finally found out what the overwhelm came from.. too many psychoactive perscribed drugs... clouded my vision.. now im clear and know what i gotta do thanks!

Hello,Gary. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I'm going to be quite a fan of yours! I have been hypnotized and at age eleven, under hypnosis, described two lives, one of which was a witch ( accused) in the process of being burned at the steak. I recently had a "dream", for lack of a better term, about going to an opulencent place, where a gentle voice lovingly told me I would not have to return here after this life ends. They said I had learned what I needed to and would be a part of The Collective. I was shown my life and told that materialism, even the longing I have for my children will pass and end, as everything, even one second in time, is dying as we speak and that in the end, all there is is love. I felt like nothing I'd been planning to buy was needed suddenly, I felt...changed, somehow. I know in a few years, I'll look back on it as THE turning point in my lifetimes. But in my quest, now, for the bigger picture and spirituality, and inner peace, I wonder: if we are tiny boats, learning lessons in the ocean of life, how is it, being temporary, that we can hang out and watch over our kids after we die? If we join The Soul, or Mothership, as you'd once said, then what stays behind and does it ever end? I get hearts in the sky from my mother. The day after she died, I got a tiny white heart on my wrist. So I know it's her. But could you possibly explain a bit about that? Thank you so much.

These are interesting thoughts .However, I think that this emotional awareness is not the only root of this feeling of overwhelm because I feel like overwhelm is rooted in the fear that things are too much for us and we cannot handle them . Then there is this expectations that things might be easier than we thought; and then there is this mindset that says that we can't deal with it but beyond that there is a lack of self esteem and feeling that we are not enough to accomplish these things and finally your thoughts on this emotional awareness .Also, this thought that we can do it all by ourselves and that overwhelm is onto others not us . So I think that raising our self-esteem , having the right mindset and droping our expectations are as equally important as your thoughts in order to combat this feeling of overwhelm .Nevertheless , I truly enjoyed this talk !

I went thru severe parent alienation from father of my kids brainwashed them taught them to hate Me in general everything I stood for he taught them to do wrong to not listen to me and to hate me it went on for twenty years no way would responding any differently for me would have changed how evil this man was in his role modelling when a mother is exposed to such constant evil only feelings she can feel are powerless and terror that some evil man is succeeding in bringing his kids down the wrong road

Try to feel feeling overwhrmed by having been abused your hole life there's no overwhelming pain like it feeling it and it can't be removed when you have a reason for feeling so overwhrmed in first place having suffered so much trauma

love you Gary. however being the healthy person is the challenge when it evokes fear. For example, when I am unable to find a caregiver for my father who is 100% dependent upon a nurse and I live eight hours away, it is very hard for me to stay in the healthy part because I panic and have fear that i may not find a caregiver in time, which is a high likelihood. agencies can not always be there for you. How do you deal with something like this? The only way I can see a solution is to move him or me and neither is an option.
