I'm currently finishing my Master's degree in Secondary Education to become a Physical Education teacher. I wanted to tell you that this is the best example of a lesson plan that I have found on the internet. Thank you for being so thorough and I enjoyed watching your video. Because of COVID-19, I haven't been able to enter the schools to see a lesson plan and to teach a lesson plan yet. Thank you again!!
Hey Jason. I am currently a graduate student, striving to get my masters in Physical Education. I wanted to comment on how enthusiastic you are with your students and you do a solid job of encouraging them to do their best. Nice job!
Hey Jason. I am an undergraduate student of physical education, and I am glad I found your video. Great job overall. you sound very knowledgeable and you define total are enthusiastic with the students. I am wondering if you are now employed full time as a Phys Ed teacher and if this video helped you get the job. Thanks Jason. Brian Ferraro William Paterson University
Thank you for making this video 6 years ago.Hopefully this helped you land a job. I am currently studying to get my master program and I have been tasked to observe a class an recording specific information. For your class I was using the "All-purpose Event Recording Coding Form" this form is aimed at what teacher feedback you are using in class. In your lesson I focused specifically on what PRAISE you used, if you used any STUDENT NAMES, if you gave SKILL (specific/general) feedback and what BEHAVIOR (specific/general) feedback you gave to students. From what I heard you gave 12 general behavior feedback, you used 0 student names during the lesson and you used 0 praise. And 3 specific skill related feedback. That was only aimed at while the students were participating in the activity. I know the majority of the lesson was focused on heart rate and some fitness components. Which is what the students were doing but from what I noticed there was no specific feedback to the students. These are the phrases I kept hearing on repeat. "Keep working (4)", excellent (3), beautiful shot (1), good shot (1). I hope this was helpful. It helped provide me a good insight into how to Observe PE teachers. Thank you.
