Purple Reishi (Ganoderma sinense) has been considered the medicinal equal to Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine. However, it is also the rarest variety of Reishi that exists, and so despite being revered as a medicinal mushroom with supernatural healing properties for millennia, there hasn't been a lot of scientific data available, until now.
