If someone already graduated internationally(bachelor of nursing) and 2 years post graduation in Canada in nursing program..do we still need to get 7-8 months hca training and certification
In British Columbia, the courses are about 6 or 7 months (depending on the school calendar), but unfortunately, there is no credit for nursing programs from other countries.
@Lovepreet Kaur You would have to do your own research, but as I understand it, in BC, the HCA designation indeed can ladder into a reduced time for completion of a nursing degree, and will certainly place you in a much better position for entry into such programs. In other words, from what I understand, time spent as an HCA can be counted towards a nursing degree, but you will of course have to do your own research from legitimate sources.
