yeah man that's totally a normal thing to reply when a bunch of people are just discussing a band they like and the motifs they've used throughout their history. you didn't make this comment chain weird at all. way to go. (edit: this was about some weirdo who replied to this comment chain ranting about how the phrase YOU WILL LOVE EACH OTHER reminds him of illegal immigrants but it looks like HEALTH hid his comment or something. thanks guys.)
The Cyberpunk genre is one of my favorites because you can remove the futuristic theme and it'd be an accurate criticism to how our society is actually controlled by corporations and algorithms. And the worst thing is that they hit in the nail. Samurai was right all along...
Even with the futuristic theme, its still a realistic critique of modern life. We are living in a cyberpunk dystopia, and not the fun one where any joe shmoe can pick up organized crime and become a legend.
@@Ants_Pants That was actually a millitech strike to end the corp wars. Johnny Silverhand was there but so was Morgan Blackhand, a groupe of aldecaldos and a bunch of millitech soldiers. The memories you see in Cyberpunk 2077 are tainted by Johnny's ego, cause that's what you have in your brain, his ego, his idea of self. The real Johnny is long gone, he died in 2023.
Lyrics - [Verse 1] Words hold me down They're chained to this world Worse yet to come We still regret All those days So far from me And all those dreams So far from reach [Chorus] Shame You never forget No moment of change With every regret One belief falls apart Two of us not enough One belief falls from us Two of us is too much [Verse 2] More yet to come Been training for this Worse yet to come We still repent Where do we go? There's only this world Those words haunt me now We still regret [Chorus] Shame You never forget No moment of change With every regret One belief falls apart Two of us not enough One belief falls from us Two of us is too much
The hard and constant drumming, the high pitched guitar, the soft vocals, they compliment each other perfectly to create an atmospheric and haunting musical masterpiece
Discovered you guys through your NIN collaboration, and I'm really sad I didn't know about you guys sooner. I have been missing out hard. By far my favourite band I've recently discovered. So much love for what you're doing, and when all this insanity has passed us by, please come to Ontario, Canada so I can experience you guys live. So good.
Also a fan based in Ontario, please come play shows when you can! Found your music through The Black Queen radio and I've been obsessed since then. I echo the sentiment that I wish I found you guys sooner but better late than never

there are so many emotional tones going on in this track; it's like a fragrance with all these different notes--some prominent, some subtle. Bravo, this is darkly, bleakly beautiful....xx
I keep coming back to this track... to me it really is the essence of Cyberpunk as a genre musically. Thank goodness for mods so I can drive around in Night City with this blasting from my custom HEALTH radio station 🤘
@@liquidchris4147 Wouldn't call it shit. You have to go in with the right mindset. The bugs are frustrating and lack of simple things that Rockstar has done with open games is sad, but the story is great and the soundtrack legit might be the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a game or movie. On PC the game is a solid 7 would be a 9+ if they added the basic features people want and fixed the bugs
Idk why but this track always makes me think of Jackie Welles, his love and emotions where so sincere. Miss you Jackie Boy ❤ "A shot of vodka, lime juice, ginger beer, and, most importantly... a splash of love"
This music video hits a very specific spot in my chest. Most people know the Cyberpunk I.P. for the disaster that is 2077, but the aesthetic in this video very much derives its inspiration from the original TTRPG released in 1990, which is also where song gets its name from lmao. The black and red color scheme matches the cover of the manual and even uses the same designation of calling rare and experimental weapons "Exotics". Idk, it's a very very specific type of nerdy that I happen to be and there's some...comfort in that. Anyways, check out the RPG if you can, it's very good and there's a reason why people still play it 30+ years later!
The game was a masterpiece. The hate for that game is wrong on every level. The story, the music and the graphics were amazing, the acting was of the highest quality and generally the writing was amazing. People like you give a good game a bad name. Shame on you.
The only disaster is that most of people will never understand the weight of CP2077 stories and what they meant. And it's one of the main reasons why this world is so fucked up - people judging by the cover and not by the content of the book. And, to be honest, masses can't understand such things even if they wanted - because they lack of brain(analytical abilities/critical thinking) or heart(to have empathy and ability to place yourself in the shoes of main character) or their life experience is so primitive that they never thought about some complex stuff, and never cared about these life related topics. As've been said in the game, 'and the masses'll live on with their pipe dreams'. This fact along is more frightening than any depicture of the dark future. As Silverhand said in the ending, "And what did you expect?... Wrong city, wrong people' Nothing can be done here, just facing the fact. We're surrounded by such people the whole life and it's hard to find kindred spirit or decent folks - and it's one the main topics of the game as well... But i think it's for better - at least, it can tells a lot about the person and some of his abilities.
@@namelesssoul8633 I think you're projecting a bit. I never said why I thought 2077 was a disaster, and I can guarantee you that I actually did really like the main story. My main problem with the game were the massive quality drops in terms of content outside of the main story: general gameplay balance and the awful, awful technical issues on launch. Please do not bring this "kids these days" stuff to the table when you won't even entertain the the idea that the game could be even slightly flawed, even for a mega fan of the world, of which I am.
Basically it kinda is but isn’t. This album is supposed to be an album of collabs. That’s why the song is called cyberpunk 2020. They mixed their own tunes into parts of the song. The tunes are similar to never fade away because they did it on purpose. I find it pretty clever. It’s like a remix.
No, for me this song hit me hard the most when I released the "bad" ending of the game, in which V accepted or not the Arasaka's deal to transplant his memory. For me it fits quite well with that ending.
Okay is it just me or does Jake Duszik(lead singer of health) sounds ALOT like Brian Aubert(lead singer of silversun pickups) Well I think they do sound very similar and health to me sounds like silversun pickups on chillstep, either way I like it
@@birdnoir5841Dystopias can't be saved though. We're fucked as far as climate change goes, but we're not at the point of no return with capitalism. We're damn near there though.
Wow! I heard about HEALTH through some reactions/reviews of THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND album by Bad Omens, talking how some songs sound like HEALTH's music. And I got curious, because Bad Omens is my favorite band. Now I get it. Noah was inspired by HEALTH for the industrial sound 🥺 I love this! Makes me feel nostalgic but in a futuristic way (future nostalgia haha). Dystopian, depressing, I love this! I'm glad that I discovered you guys 💚
It's as if there are songs out there that must've been encoded into your DNA or something because the first time you hear it it's like you're waking up.
@@seeker11 There is actually studies being done on this - for instance, to like Nine Inch Nails, you have to be what is called a “systematizer” or someone that thinks in patterns, shapes, logic, structure, etc. Fascinating stuff..
Tks to my friend Sari that show me your collaboration with NIN and now i found my new great band of the year, you have a new air conditioning, not only a fan...
Dudes! Thank y’all for being a band and sharing your brains! Y’all should uh, post that number again. That got me through a tough time getting to talk to y’all.
William Gibson said it best when he said that the only true literary purpose of science fiction is to be an interrogation of the present. People might say that the cyberpunk genre is dead because "We're already living in it". But that's the thing. We've always lived in it. It was never about how accurate the tech was, or about "getting it right" when it comes to a prediction of the future. The stories are all ultimately about the people of our world, not about being an "accurate" dystopian prediction of it. "The future is already here. Just not evenly distributed"- William Gibson
Just ran into you guys by listening to your single collab with nine inch nails. I've been in love since. Listen to you guys daily and absolutely love the art, vision, and image you guys portray! ❤️
This song takes me back to the past, it makes me feel and understand who I used to be, and who I have become now. This song is our future, everything is described here, even without lyrics you can understand that the world is going to the bottom. Farewell, cruel world.
I know a lot of us are excited about collaborations with big names like Trent Reznor & Chino Moreno, but I think a lesser-known artist who would be a good fit for the next one would be *TR/ST* 🙌
I discovered this band by Major Crimes but since then I have been listening to others songs and they are all really good...weird sound they have but I love it.
If you play video games hand haven't played Max Payne 3 do it, they did the full OST for the game and it's perfect, but if you can please play 1&2 first, the full story is heartbreaking and makes the soundtrack to 3 hit so much harder
Increasingly I feel ready to die. That does not mean I want to die. I have lived a full life. I am 33. I want to remove fear from my psyche altogether. Thanks HEALTH for making an OST for my inner world.
