I stumbled upon this track at the gym while doing deadlifts. The crescendo coupled with the rush of blood after a set of heavy lifting gave me a memorable high. I hope nobody noticed I was about to pass out.
I KNEW I recognized this sound in Cyberpink 2077. This ho Hit me like a brick. NFS 2015 really nailed the vibes. Too bad EA just can not micromanage a game into the dirt. Happy ro see HEALTH is well.. Still Healthy
My HEALTH experience: Buddy gets tickets to go see them in Portland at some venue in 2019. Never heard of them, listened to a few songs, sounds kinda cool. Get absolutely plastered before the show, met John as he was selling the t-shirts, super nice guy, told me to get an XL because I was tall. HEALTH comes on and I'm basically the guy at 01:30 - puked my guts out in the bathroom, came out listened to one song then went home. 10/10 would see them again
YESSSSSS!!! I got the shivers as soon as I heard Pain start up! One of the most beautiful games ever developed and I def think the score has a LOT to do with that. As a matter of fact, that score is what got me into sound production and got me adding game soundtracks to my iMusic library.
Used to always listen to this when I was a sophomore in high school, around 15 or 16 years old. I’ll be 25 this year and all I want more than anything is to go back. Enjoy the good times while they last. ❤
The same. They opened for the neighbourhood. I waa glad that I went to that concert. Not because of The neighbourhood, but because I discovered Health. They were loud and really good live.
I think the lyrics of this song are very interesting. Jacob seems to be wondering about life after death ("Will we see the ones we've lost?"), but he also wants to be positive about this concept by using life-affirming words ("Life is good"). Also, at the beginning of the song he uses words that create mental pictures about a hypothetical war or a violent environment ("Let the guns go off, let the bombs explode, let the lights go dark"). It's all very confusing, but it works well in the musical context. I mean, he probably felt very confused when he thought about the whole thing. Anyway, he's really good at writing lyrics that tie into the mood of the tracks and this definitely contributes to the appeal of their music.
I didn't realize until now, years after discovering the song, that the singer is also him. I always thought the vocals were from a woman until I saw a live video.
@@honeykatxiii Oh yeah, I can see that. Jake's vocal timbre definitely has a softness to it that might make one think it's a female voice singing. He's a bit like the lead singer of Silversun Pickcups. There's also a beautiful Massive Attack song called 'Angel' that I think you might know that, for years, I thought was sung by a girl when it's actually a reggae singer called Horace Andy. I really like it when singers surprise me with original timbres and tones!
eric mxq I was too nervous to saying anything cool so I just said that projectile vomit was an interesting idea for a video and to have an awesome day. Something nerdy like that...
Hahhaa I wish you guys would post the entire bloopers from this cuz I was there lmao. The only one who refused to puke. 😂 haven’t seen you guys since the premier of that Jonah hill movie a million years ago lol. Hope y’all are doing well.
Escuche 2 segundos de esta cancion en la Pelicula Yo antes de ti, y la NECESITABA para continuar con mi vida, gracias a Shazam que con esos miseros dos segundos la pude encontrarrrrr
you guys really did capture the feeling of candy flipping in this clip. The flickering lights, the tuning in and out of graciousness. Can't wait to catch you guys at Laneway. I'll be out from under, over and up.
bryanaaaaaaaaaaaa I called it right after I watched the video this morning. John answered and told me to call back in 2 hours because he was in bed. hahah I called back and asked him some questions about the new album, and he told me more singles are on their way. Cool guy.
You notice when BJ's running at around 1:23 for a split second there's an image of a guy, maybe Jake that flashes up and then dissappears. Watch for it.
