Thank you Mr. Wheeler! Very helpful as a senior nursing student. I am hoping to go back to school for ASL. I would stop by to say hi sometime if you didn't leave so early!
Mr. Wheeler, these videos you make are absolutely wonderful! I learned ASL 1 in high school "9th grade, and I'm going to continue" I'm out for summer now. But, I just wanted to say that your videos are great and help me learn a lot more about asl! ASL really interests me. Question, are you able to talk, or do you just sign more often?
I appreciate your video. I can clearly see your hands and face. I think it would be better to see your body by adding some color contrast between shirt and background.
Thank you for FINALLY placing captions for those of us who are trying to learn. Very helpful. Again, thanks and hope you continue to realize that most here who utilize your videos are in various stages of learning ASL.
I would love to speak with the instructor in these videos. Very beneficial to my job. Very clear. If you are able to provide an e-mail address that I could reach out to you that would be great. Thank you so much!
Lovely video. I have a question though. The hospital and patient signs are done on the side of the chest, front of the arm or side of the arm? I can't tell exactly with the black shirt on black background. Thank you. Also, is panic the same sign as anxiety?
=o so cool, thank you! Might I ask: how would one sign: "Stop breathing" or "hold your breath" "relax" "don't move" "deep breath in" "deep breath out"? I ask because I'm currently studying to be an x-ray technologist and for some procedures we need to give breathing instructions to our patients and it's just occurred to me, what if we have a patient who's hard of hearing? I would hope they have a translator but what if it happens that they don't? Or if it's someone who normally has a hearing aid but they have to take it out for the exam? If anyone knows of a video that has these signs and can point me towards them, thank you in advance!!!
Always use the same hand for everything if you're left dominant and primarily use your left then continue using the left. For these signs just flip them.
Not a good idea to wear black polo with red tie in a black background. Hehe actually it for us to see the hands clearly. But very educational video..thank you
Karen Cleveland I know, it's a hole body experience but the main thing to know is the hand signs, and this is a very basic lesson so for beginners it's a good way to start first with the hands and the expressions if that makes sense.
Completely out of respect but you look like a floating head and a tie for the majority of this video. It is very hard to tell where on your body you are signing when you're not signing on your face
