Healthcare Stocks on Sale! Worth Buying?

I think Pfizer at 30 USD is not Bad. Ther Organic Grothw should be 5-8 Per cent. A 5 Per cent Yield and they have a good future Plattform. My biggest Buy is CVS at the moment. High Debt. But great Diversification.

I just love this guy. He always methodological in his presentation. Adam, I have positions in CVS and WBS, these stocks are down because of competition fear from amazon. In your video, I noticed you didn't mention anything about retail pharmaceutical companies. What is your thoughts on them. The reason I bought these two stocks is because it reminded me of Walmart when it went down many years ago when everyone was in fear amazon will take over there marketshare. But Walmart bounced back.

I'm asking because semiconductors have their own ETF, SOXX and it also outperformed the s&p 500, not just the four categories you've mentioned. Also SOXX outperformed the Nasdaq index as well

What would an index look like if you removed all the companies that went to zero like startups and just focused on the successful drug companies that have been around for a while and are profitable such as Merck, AbbVie Pfizer, Eli Lilly amgen also, those pharmaceuticals pay out large dividends are those factored into your index chart

I think pharmaceutical companiy makes good investment choice, if you did enough research - it boils down to how deep you know the industry and knowing which company has strong pipelines that are sizeable in revenue. People in the industry can do a patient funnel and use their clinical knowledge to gauge the potential / expected market size with relatively good accuracy, but people out of industry don't have this skillset, they mostly gauge based on headline news. Astrazeneca for example, grew 3x in past 10 years because it not only changed leadership, but revived itself with plethora of new strong oncology pipelines that are actual growth drivers. In short there are good opportunities in the industry, it boils down to whether one is well versed enough or not. Sure the patent expires 15 years later, but if you knew you would have gauged and assessed by then if it has sufficient pipeline to cover. For example way before its fall, the industry already know Roche and Novartis will not have strong enough pipeline to fill the gap and you exit. I believe this is the same with any sector, including tech.
