@@SenorJuan2023I don’t recommend using water for this hot cocoa, as it will be very thin and bland (some dry mixes use water but they incorporate milk powder).
looks delicious. thanks for explaining about cacao powder. always wondered about the difference and now I know. I subscribed too. Looking forward to more of your yum yum cooking.
I had to use 1⅓ cups evaporated milk and ⅔ cup almond milk, that's all I had. Added a bit of ground espresso powder and ground cinnamon stick with powdered sugar. With the vanilla extract, honey, and the pinch of sea salt I shook it in an airtight container and then put it into the pan and warmed it, stirring all the while. I did have to add more almond milk when I served it, but it will keep in the fridge too. Thank you for this video, it's excellently done.
I was looking for a hot chocolate recipe for Christmas morning and this looks like one my family will enjoy minus the additional chocolate, simple and sweet ☺️. Thanks!
I`ve just learned that Cacao can have massive health benefits for us all. I`ve just bought some and found your recipe for making a drink. If i use a natural homegrown honey to sweeten would the natural built in properties of organic honey be destroyed in the warming process or would they remain unaffected? Thank you.
Hi there! If you want to preserve the properties of the honey, add it after the cacao is made, once it's cooled slightly. You can also swap out the honey for maple syrup. I hope you enjoy!!
this is so good! And will help with my cravings! I sweetened it with cinnamon and with a serving of cool whip with almond milk. Not as healthy as it can be but 90 calories ? I will take it
Honey shouldn't be heated as per Ayurveda. It might cause damage to the body. You can however use coconut sugar instead of honey. Just a suggestion, loved the recipe!
@@MegaChip97 Who told you that? Modern Science keeps changing its conclusions all the time based on new findings. Ayurveda on the other hand has the ultimate answers which haven't been proven wrong by anyone yet.
@@wardaddy3 Everything that claims to have ultimate truths must be untrue. Science being able to change is the core foundation of being believeable. Who told me that? Several medical publications? Ayurveda doesn't need to be disproven, it needs to prove itself. Which it fails to.It's called the burden of proof. Just take a look on it's wiki article for soucres if you want "Although laboratory experiments suggest it is possible that some substances in Ayurveda might be developed into effective treatments, there is no evidence that any are effective in themselves.[88][89] Cancer Research UK states that there is no evidence that ayurvedic medicine helps treat cancer in people, and some Ayurvedic drugs contain toxic substances or interact with legitimate cancer drugs in a harmful way.[17] Ayurvedic medicine is considered pseudoscientific because it confuses reality and metaphysical concepts, and because its premises are not based on science.[4][3] Ethnologist Johannes Quack writes than although the rationalist movement Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti officially labels Ayurveda - like astrology - a pseudoscience, these practices are in fact embraced by many of the movement's members.[5] A review of the use of Ayurveda for cardiovascular disease concluded that the evidence is not convincing for the use of any Ayurvedic herbal treatment for heart disease or hypertension, but that many herbs used by Ayurvedic practitioners could be appropriate for further research.[90] Research into ayurveda has been characterized as pseudoscience. Both the lack of scientific soundness in the theoretical foundations of ayurveda and the quality of research have been criticized.[4][91][92][93]

I always find that the raw cacao doesn't dilute into the milk. Maybe I need to mix it more vigorously or something... Anyways, solid recipe. Thanks for sharing!
Yes it will lose its beneficial properties. And don't consume more that one and a half teaspoon of cacao in a day as it has LEAD and CADMIUM that cause cancer! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iPRYekXO2Z4.html
@@PORTMIAMIMIKE You can use any brand of heavy cream! I typically by Organic Valley because it's readily available in my market, but any brand will work. :)
Sorry for the delay, but absolutely! Stevia is a great choice if you prefer to go sugar free. Just start small, since it can quickly overpower the hot chocolate.
If you exceed 40°C honey losses of all nutritional properties and vitamins,... That's not what you want, The bees worked too hard to destroy it in stupid cocoa in the end... I see people are giving away idiotic recipes that don't really contain the real meaning of eating food... Instead just replace it with sugar.
