I know you are an athlete to your core, so I was excited to see you make these recipes! Don’t get me wrong, I love all of your content, and I know you said that your fitness focused vids don’t do as well, but I’m here for all the frugal AND all the fit! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Thanks Christine!
That was pretty great 😂 My dog would also have given me the look of disgust. After having two labs that would wolf down anything we dropped on the floor, my current dog really surprised me with his pickiness. If it's not meat, he won't eat it. Lol
Wishing you and your family a very blessed New Year! A tip for measuring out sticky ingredients such as molasses or honey, take the appropriate (empty) measuring tool (cup or spoon) and with the bottom side down , press it into your dry ingredients leaving the impression of the unit of measure you need, then just fill that void you made with the ingredient you need. This way you won’t have to dig the sticky out of the cup or spoon dirtying another spoon and there’s less waste of sticky ingredients 😉 Hope that explanation was clear as mud 😂
You can make a super quick pasta sauce with leftover pumpkin puree. -Sautee garlic and red peeper flakes (optional) in some olive oil -Add pumpkin puree and milk for creamyness -Season with salt, pepper, sage and thyme and let simmer for a few minutes -Add cook pasta and some cooking water to get the right consistency. I like to undercook the pasta slightly and have it finish in the sauce. Dinner done in about 15 minutes and pretty delicious way to use up leftovers pumpkin.
I used to feel the same way about shredding apples but then saw a tip that you keep the apple whole and just shred each side on the box grater until just the core is left. So easy and saves your fingers!
I do not have a big sister (only 5 younger) our mom did not do or show us what most moms do, like workout, clean house, shop she did not do laundry or like normal mom stuff etc etc etc. I would love to see your daily routine. Cleaning tips, even 101 level stuff to your tricks. Like how to be a fit healthy clean mom with happy kids etc.
You have inspired me and my boyfriend to start making a lot of our baked goods at home. So far we have made different types of breads, muffins, and also things like mayo. We started during Thanksgiving and we have saved so much money! Thank you for your content! 💜💚💜
Love, love, love ALL your videos! I get so excited when I see a new one pop up and can’t wait to get home to watch 🥰 Thank you so much for putting all the time & energy into these for us!!
I just want to say I love your page!!!!!!!! I’ve never Subscribe to someone RU-vid channel you’re my first and I love your videos and the information you have to give so useful!
SO glad to see you make healthy whole food & snacks!!! 👏👏👏 I'm definitely going to make some of these recipes. Much healthier than processed boxed stuff. 😉
Poor Speedy. My dogs eat it every morning, they love it. Since it will go bad after a few days once you open the can, I freeze it in ice cube trays and thaw out a couple at a time.
thank you so much for the quick start new year I really really needed this! I have a problem with sweets ILOVE SWEETS LOL!! its my weakness! and these awesome recipes you did here for us will help me with my sweat tooth bigtime!! thank you so much for the Love !!! by the way your extremely funny Christine ! I gave this a big thumps up and put this video on my Fav List !!
Loving this episode! I need to cut even more down on the prepackaged snacks for a number of reasons for my 5 littles and I have one that Is tree nut free so it’s SO HARD TO FIND GOOD RECIPES! Thank you for making this! I think we can alter just a bit and still have a couple of the recipes come out great.
Thank you for all the recipes. My husband is on the path to losing a little weight and it helps him if I’m eating close to what he is. It’s so much harder to maintain in your 40s.
Funnily enough, when you were making the first superhero muffin I was thinking "I swear I've made another muffin like this before from Frugalfitmom", and sure enough you made them right after! Those apple carrots ones are so good, I've made them multiple times and have recommended them to others who are gluten free. Thanks for reminding me to make them again!
Yum! I’m going to try the muffins. The apple carrot especially looks good. When I was younger my aunt made a muffin she called Morning Glory. I remember it having carrot and apple, and loads of sugar. This looks so much nicer!
You aren't supposed to give pumpkin to dogs plain out of the can unless they are known to like it that way lol You are supposed to mix it with their store bought food or make homemade food of chicken rice and green beans and add the pumpkin to that. I loved this video! So informative! Love and Blessings ❤ 🦋
Christine, you've got to try the combination of Superfine Almond flour & Oat Gluten Free flours. I make muffins with that flour combination and it is beyond yummy 🥰😋
I always, always, always use more cinnamon in any recipe than called for. if you want someone remarking on they love apple pie and have had many great ones but for some reason yours is better, you will be told that if you dial up the cinnamon :) And if you can also dial back the sugar a bit. The same goes for muffins, breads and more. And cinnamon is an oft overlooked spice in cooking meals as well. Jmo coming from a cinnamon lover. Add some to your coffee grounds too!
Pumpkin is good for dogs in a unique way (according to our vet). It can help hydrate them and also stop them up a little when they have loose stools. We found that out when our good girl was sick.
Two things... one.. I LOVE THAT TOP!! 😜 second... I love it when I cant sleep and you post a video 😉 thankyou (oh and I remember when you bought those oats. I did estimate it would take you 18mths to use them, how much do you have left? Lol)
I really liked that you did this meal prep! I like these videos the most. Im excited to try them. I really enjoy your channel, Christine! You've taught me so much!
I had to stop the video to respond to Speedy and the pumpkin! I also had a toy Poodle Zoe, she passed just a few months ago, well the Vet told us years ago to add one teaspoon of pumpkin to her food dish daily, it apparently helps with digestion etc, we did this for years and my Zoe would sit and patiently wait to touch her food until that pumpkin hit her bowl, then and only then would she eat her dinner. It is so funny to hear you say yours hated it when mine loved it beyond measure! Both the same breed too, course mine was a girl ....LOL thanks for sharing!
I used to watch you religiously than I had to go gluten and dairy free and now food just is less fun for me I’ve watched your dietary videos on repete and I’m happy to have clicked today! Hope your well.
put pumpkin in you chili, you can't taste it but it makes you sauce smooth. I freeze the extra in a baggie, flattening it so when I need some I can just break off a piece.
Oh ya, especially if you use natural peanut butter, mix the whole jar in the food processor for a minute whenever you open it. Life changed. You’re welcome. 😉
Mix pumpkin (about 2 oz) with banana (about 2 oz) with whole wheat or rice flour (1-1.5 cups ... Enough to make the dough the consistency of mashed potatoes) and put them in silicone molds or in little dollops on a sheet pan and bake for 10-15 min (depending on the size of your dollops/molds). Store in freezer (cuz mold does grow on them in about 2-3 days if stored on the counter). Try those with Speedy. It is a good way to use up the banana AND pumpkin ;)
When measuring something like peanut butter molasses Or corn syrup spray the measuring tools with either olive oil or avocado oil everything will pour right out
The molasses was an interesting flavor, and I had some in the pantry from another recipe that I was trying to get rid of. So that was helpful. We ate all of them, but I don’t think I’d make it again.... the apple carrot I’ve made twice and subbed coconut oil for butter (only cause I didn’t have enough butter). Am curious what the original tastes like. But even w the coconut I’ve already made them twice. Tasty and filling!
Made the carrot apple super hero muffins with chocky chips, 1/4c. brown sugar & 1/4c. honey. These are yummy! Trying to trick my kid to eating a veggie or two.
Yes on healthy whole foods! Anything using coconut flour would be appreciated. I'm struggling to adapt recipes to my now low sugar low carb diabetic friendly eating plan.
