I hold no animosity toward Deacon Hill. Disappointment, frustration - yes - but not anger. I feel sorry for him. He is obviously a good kid and is trying his best, but his best is just not good enough. He is in way over his head and has been all season. Yet Kirk and Brian have kept him in there and it is a shame. They are embarrassing him, the team and humiliating the Iowa fans by their refusal all year to give Marco a chance at playing. Is it ego and stubbornness by Kirk and Brian that have caused them to do this? We'll never know, but the season has been ruined by their decisions.

It's a little thing, sort of, but I was disappointed when, on the first drive from Lainez, we didn't kick the field goal. It's not like we were going to win the game at that point. The only thing I was thinking about was avoiding the shutout. Instead, we finished the game with a goose egg.

Iowa played 3 good teams all year and scored a total of 0 points. Thats beyond embarassing. How they were ranked is a mystery. They're offense is the biggest joke I've ever seen in college football.

Reality check. The defense and specialties were phenomenal. The offense sucked. Kirk won't admit it and doubles down on "field position" football. Field position is an aspect of the game. Kirk has made it his focus publiv in order to rationalize the ineptitude of his mediocre at best OC son. The offense is out there to move the ball forward and score. Get real, Kirk. Fans watch for the excitement of the score.
