I'm a big ten guy. I like Nick Saban! He's a very classy guy. He's an excellent coach. He instills discipline with his players. He makes them accountable and praises their successes. He takes responsibility. LISTEN UP! This is the model of success. Nick demonstrates the definition of a professional both in attitude and conduct. Nick Saban is the benchmark of excellence in sportsmanship. GO BAMA!!!!!
Exactly best example set for Coaches and players. He believed that Bama lost against Bama. Whoever, was on the other side of Bama was gonna get the win. They basically handed the W to other team. It's been a great season to remember. :)
Alabama fans, you know you're going to hear it for a month or so starting today, especially from the Herbstreits, the moderates, like Reece Davis (an Alabama Alum) and especially, the Danny Kanells and the other sportswriters, naysayers, etc. that revel in watching Alabama, on the rare instances, lose a football game, but keep all of this in perspective. Clemson has a very strong football team. They are a very solid, well rounded squad and of course, well coached. Dabo and his staff tied the series last night and as you would expect, on the national scene, they're automatically crowned the new kings of college football in the eyes of the aforementioned people above, but are they really? As much as it hurts for all of you Alabama fans today, keep in mind that Clemson is still just getting their feet wet on the national college football scene. From 1896 to 2018, Clemson has won only 3 national football championships. Those national titles were in 1981, 2016 and 2018. On the other hand, Alabama has national football titles in 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017. You Alabama fans are a proud bunch, from the concession stand workers straight up through the hundred thousand plus fans that show up each Saturday, home and away. Your Million Dollar Band and of course two of the winningest coaches in the history of college football, Coach Bear Bryant, Coach Gene Stallings and Coach Nick Saban, two of the three being in very rarified air, right up there as three or four of the winningest football coaches in the history of NCAA Football. If you have ever played football before, you know you can't win every game, but at Alabama, you come closer than any other college football team in America. So all I have to offer you Bama fans is, to keep your head up, remember you're a part of the greatest college football program in the history of college football and never, ever let anyone tell you that there's more than ONE number 1 college football team in America and that is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home of THE Alabama Crimson Tide!

It's a humbling experience. These student athletes have to experience defeat in order to get better. Bottom line, we got outplayed, out coached, and failed to execute. We got beat by a really good team. Keep in mind that Clemson has the same record as Alabama in the last 4 years. We will be back. We have the talent.
Speaking as a Clemson fan, I am already feeling sorry for the rest of the SEC next season. This game should give Nick Saban all the fuel he needs to fire next seasons team up. I fully expect Alabama to be back in the CFB title game next year. And with Trevor Lawrence and company I like our chances to be there as well. These two teams aren’t done yet, not by a long shot.

Jack Fanning I agree. I don’t see anyone ready to stop them. Yes, the SEC has some really good and improving teams but I don’t see anyone on Alabama’s level yet. Georgia is right there with Alabama as far as talent goes but they appear to still lack the coaching to topple Alabama. LSU and Florida are definitely improving but, I believe, they are still a few years away from challenging Alabama.

That was the most embarrassing loss for Alabama that I can remember and on the biggest stage; it wouldn't have hurt as bad if we would've competed but we totally got out played and coached!

If you can pull hurts last year at halftime and he was not even down 15 points but not do the same this year hmmmm. Jalen should have had his number called he had no problem last year vs Clemson and played amazing to be Georgia...Hurts would have been that spark we needed this game we would not had won the SEC without him .
Uh, because the defense was doing its job last year and Jalen was the obvious weak link in the offense. It’s not even remotely the same thing. Tua did throw the pick six, but he didn’t give up the other 25 points. There is zero way Jalen comes out and does a better job than Tua did. Tua three for 300 yards, just couldn’t get it in the end zone, which has always been Jalen’s weakest quality. You don’t just pull your quarterback every time you’re down at the half. Tua showed flashes of greatness last year, so there was precedent to make a change on offense. Again, not the same situation at all.
it was not 44 to 16 at halftime and yes he could have he score 3 time in one quarter he would have had 2 quarters ...it is what it is ..all I am saying is there defense had Tua number this game he was not the same today that's all when that happen I do believe Jalen could have made a difference. Georgia had Jalen number last year just like Clemson had Tua this year
Very disappointing loss but l got nothin but love for The Crimson TiDe....the OC and DC merry go round finally caught up with us. Confused. If you re-track every game he played in, you’ll see what I’m seeing. They didn’t play like the great backers Bama is used to having.
Charles Kemp the other problem with Mack is that he is built so small that RBs run through him on a open field tackle. Dylan Moses is better. We need a Reuben Foster LB. fast but powerful.

Good comment. I might add that execution is more than being in the right place at the right time. It includes the team's mental and emotional state of mind. Football is as much a mental game as a physical game. Teamwork and attitude matter as much as physical ability.
@@jackfanning7952 I agree. The best example is D Thompson. His level of play has decreased greatly this year as his confidence in his corners eroded. He has been forced to react later and cover for their weaknesses. Combo coverages has been almost nonexistent. Confidence that everyone is on the same page has been lacking since the Auburn game and many are making guesses as opposed to reads.
My boys needed this humble pie tonight but they will be back. Young secondary was exposed tonight but you only grow by faceing adversity .Everyone knows Nick will make adjustments and will be right back in title hunt next year.
Its over for Dabo ans he had a nice run but believe Nick bout to come back and end his whole career. Thats why us Bama fans not worried cuz we will be back. @D. Byrd. I said the same thing. There was a blatant hold JJ, it was so obvious, ESPN only showed the replay ONE time. Cause it happened right in front of the official. And he still didn't throw flag. The only penalty for us was at the beginning of the game when Clemson player stuck leg to trip our guy after got beat. But after that, nadda.
There was one penalty on Clemson. As for the holding non-calls, they went both ways. Refs let them play which is usually something a physical team like Alabama likes to have.
I am a ND fan, but kudo's to Clemson on a great win. These kids should not have to sit up there and answer these dumb questions. Alabama got out played in every aspect of the game which none of us are use to. Again congrats to both teams for making it to the final game. Bama with bounce back next like they always do!

I’m a big die hard tua fan and I want the best from him but yes he did made some poor decisions and some play callings were a little off. Still keep your head up tua and the bama team it’s not the end, I have no excuses Clemson won that game it was there night and bama was just not prepared for it got little too comfortable, big respect for Trevor it was his moment and he did.
In one hand I hate Saban for all of his success that I’m admittedly jealous of in favor of my own personal bias/agenda, but the dude just GETS it and is a 1st class, grade A competitor. When they play Clemson again for it all...and they most likely will....you’ll see intensity like you’ve never seen. Saban won’t accept anything less. Those are the ones who be running around bragging/boasting about Bama, but as soon we lose,...crickets. Don't hear nothing from them. Us TRUE fans are the one's who hurt when we lose, congratulate the opponent on there victory, admit our weaknesses, but most of all, love and encourage our Crimson Tide players and coaches to learn from it, and press on towards the prize next time. No team is perfect, no team is or will ever be unbeatable. You can’t replace all those DBs from last year am expect to win. A true freshman on one side and a transfer in the other. On top of that we never had a pass rush or depth the entire season. Lastly all the points we scored this year is nice but this is not BAMA Football. Leave that offense for the Little 12. Bama Football is Run Game and beat you up on defense. Every other college team replaces players every year, but do not have the luxury of having the top recruiting class in the nation. Alabama has been the class of college football in the Saban era, and is not done yet. Keep looking over your shoulder, though. There are some teams nipping at your heels. Alabama can offer a 5 star recruit the opportunity to eventually earn a Sunday paycheck, but other teams, like Clemson, can as well. Question is, can they coach these players up as well as 'Bama, and will they have a better college experience under a different coach, like Sweeney or Smart or Riley?
Young players should now consider other teams. Clemson's win is good for college football. Coaches should not take all the credit for losing or winning as if they deserve their million dollars salary. Pay the recruiting officers more cash.
The bigger the ego, the harder the fall. I think that because Bama is so used to hand out the ass whooping, they don’t know how to react to being crushed the way they were. Deep down Tua and all these guys know they were the second best team on the field. Use this as fuel and come back better next year.
A lot of people saw a side of Tua that they don't like as a result of this game. After the game, he is sitting on the bench with his lip dragging the ground, instead of congratulating the winners and encouraging his teammates. Then at the press conference, gives no credit to Clemson and unloads the "we just had a bad game" excuse. He looked immature, not Lawrence. Own up, man!
I guess no one is going to mention that its time for the Tosh lupoi to be fired! All season long , Our defense has kind of look iffy especially in the end of the 2nd half vs OU. This is maybe the first time i could say that the defense looked lost with mental errors that clemson capitalized on !

Alabama's defense had a lotNJ of young guys, Clemson had a bunch of Seniors. Alabama's future is still bright. Clemson had a better defense and Bama, just couldn't catch their rythm, they confused The offense.
Sorry but the team wasn't prepared. Both sides of the ball looked bad last night, but the defense is soft and has been for most of the year. Tosh Lupoi is a great recruiter but not a good defensive coordinator. We won't win another NC with Lupoi in that spot. Defense wins championships.
I think Nick can be a little too conservative and a lttle too traditional at times.... I feel that Jalen Hurts could have been the missing link in this particular game.. Rotating Tua and Jalen and using Jalen athleticism could have been a big ifference in the game... There could have been better play calling especially during times in the red zone.... I don't get this habit of always trying to use the same RB to run up the middle against a great defensive team to score a touchdown in the red zone when its 3rd or 4th and short yardage... I think should have rushed more than 4 guys to rattle the other QB...
I totally understand where you're coming from. But, to say Nick was being conservative??? They turned the ball over three times on down. In the first half they went for it on fourth within their on 30! A loss is a loss and hindsight is 20/20. Cant see Jalen making a big difference.
All of that wasn’t on the playcall. You go back and look Damien Harris missed wholes multiple times. No play call is going to fix that. And Clemson got through with 3 or 4 multiple times. We didn’t come out and do what we were supposed to do and got punished horribly for it. Tua made bad decisions while Lawrence was dropping dimes. We had dropped passes while Ross was making AMAZING catches. When you show up and don’t make the plays can’t blame the play calling

No disrespect to Damien Harris but I think it would have been better to use a bigger RB like Nagie or uae a RB Josh Jacobs who has been more productive all year... Nick said he only used 4 guys to rush the passer, but I feel he should have used more than 4 to rattle the QB... Plus I felt that calling plays to use Jalen Hurts because of his athleticism would have made a big difference... There are many other plays that could have made a big difference.... Remember how Jalen made a difference in winning against Georgia, Jalen wasn't even given a chance.....
As an Alabama fan, I think we needed to be humbled because every year we think we’re invincible and don’t take other teams seriously and it usually comes back to bite us in the end. I take nothing from Clemson they’re a good team and they out played us but I also think we were a better team than what we showed and we went into the game with the wrong mindset and we got surprised by how good Clemson was but by that time we just couldn’t get back into the game. We’ll be back hopefully stronger next season. Roll tide.
I never thought I would ever see a Saban team be this UNprepared. They was lost and was not ready. Just never thought I would see that. The defense didnt know what to do, where to line up or how to scheme and that is on the coaches. They gave up and I never thought I would see that either. Always next year and I hope we can fix what we saw.
Too much time between games, and Tua recovering from an injury. As long as Al plays every week they stay ready to play. They didn't practice enough, took too long a holiday.
Lets not act like Clemson was some kind of unranked sub 500 team here. Clemson is a fantastic team and so is Bama. We will be back next year (and the year after.) RTR!
Has anyone seen the joke schedule that Alabama has for next season? ....yea they will be back and get beat again for not being tested! Tua can't just throw them all up for grabs because eventually he will run into a decent defense and get exposed!
We see. Our secondary is sub par. D all around, but Clempsons QB better do a lot of work being able to not look at only the WR he is going to throw too. Watch all of his passes he looks at the receiver he is going to throw too. Great game Clempson on the whooping you put on us.
