From what I heard yesterday. This is what Putin is trying to do. He's gathering as many forces as he can and then flood the territories his forces have already taken in Ukraine and then force a negotiation. He knows he's going to lose this war but he's going to make sure he doesn't leave empty handed. He's trying to force an impossible scenario in which Ukraine will be forced to surrender Russia conquered territory and then Putin will essentially "clip" the territory he's taken from Ukraine and make it part of Russia.

I didn’t honestly know a lot about Ukraine before this war began, but I have to say that I have been so impressed by the quality of people there. They are a great nation and president Zelensky is awesome. In Russia there are many wonderful people too who want nothing to do with this evil war. Clearly the problem is Putin and his old guard and they have to go one way or the other.

People are getting fired not just for protests, sometimes for "inappropriate" jokes. Bulk of putin supporters are elderly people working for government. And in russian society people still remember 90ies - our own American Great Depression. These peoples are not indoctrinated supporters, it just that their reliance on government money and mental trauma after which they value their 300$ per month more than having voice and opinion. I can participate in protests because i have wealthier middle class parents, so im not that afraid of getting expelled from university (we had a lot of protesters expelled from universities all the way since 2012). But for a lot of young people university is their only chance of having not completely miserable life. Revolutions are not made by whole population, but by fraction of activists. But then again - activists are hunted for almost 10 years already, not a lot are left. Right now we have new shiny law - male protestors are getting conscripted right from police stations. Its again question of having something that lets you continue. Like i do have only one eye, so im not that afraid of conscription - but there's non zero chance i can be conscripted. You want all this people to leave everything and sacrifice themselves for greater good, but it's not something that can be demanded from ordinary people of any country.

It is very smart of President Zelensky and his governing officials to do this! What they are actually doing is giving those conscripted Russian soldiers a way out of their predicament. Hopefully,many Russians will realize that this may be their only way to stay alive and out of prison. I feel for those Russian conscripts. I was a volunteer soldier during the Cold War. I see it as a solution too. Just switch side, do voluntary work and support your Ukraine neighbor. Soldiers do have a saying in this, especially if you know that there is no justification for the whole war you are carrying out.✌

I’m one of the victim who had to flee Ukraine in February, i still remember long lines of Ukrainians , foreigners fleeing Ukraine. Days and Days stuck at the border in freezing temperature. Now its the Russians time to run away from their country. All i can say is, How the turns have tabled. LOL🤣🤣 Salva Ukrayini🇺🇦Love from India🇮🇳
I’m so glad to hear that these countries are not refusing the Russian people entering their territories. It’s not the Russian people’s fault that a tyrant is making his people suffer. I imagine the folks leaving en mass just want to live free and better lives and we want that for them too!
Until i. 10 uears from now he invades Georgia fully to save all the Russians living there....see how it works for a dictator. I wish they would stay and make a difference at home. Their brothers from the poor regions are going in full mobilization. Who will work in these regions? Who cares they're poor anyway right? So sad how they only care about the big cities and screw the rest.
My heart is for the people and country of Ukraine. What Zelensky said was true for the Russians that come to fight Ukraine. I do not blame the men from leaving Russia. Putin does not give a crap about his people !!

Yes my heart is with yours. Everything I've seen of Ukraine and Ukrainians moves me ( sometimes to tears) The courage, the humour in adversity, the professionalism of both men and women soldiers... the joy in the faces of Ukrainians when they are liberated by the Ukrainian troops....
