Omg! I’m so sorry for your loss! And happy she could go to heaven listening to this beautiful sound of the convent bell! My condolences to you and your family 🙏
Not many people would have purchased a bell for the convent. You did. Shows your heart and attention to detail. It certainly was a lot of work! Job well done. The bell sounds beautiful! Over the years I hope it announces many happy, joyful occasions for you and your family. God bless and Merry Christmas to you, your family, and the talented people you have introduced to us!
Thank you for sharing this moment with us. I am so emotional hearing the beautiful sound of he bell. What kind of rules did the town have with you? Do I hey have other churches ch bells ringing like yours?
Imagine the look on the towns people face when they heard the bell! I bet it brought back memories for some, and confusion for others, anyhow what a beautiful thing for everyone! Christmas bells!
More tears! The bell sounds beautiful! ❤ Thank you so much for recognizing the importance of having a working bell at the convent. You probably caught the attention of quite a few townsfolk today! Again thank you!
What a great blessing to the village this Christmas to hear their church bell ring. Thank you for being joy to everyone and all your engineering and hard work.🔔‼️🎄😊
such a momentus event and especially at Christmas time....Billy, 🌲🌲💐you have made this new bell a work of art and truly a blessing for all. Yup good to be real about the risks in such an undertaking (once in a lifetime or even 2 )
What a joyous sound! Well done Billy and Sean! Very pleased you will be at home with your loved ones on Christmas Day. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and all the best in 2023.🎄🙏❤️
Maybe this is why we love the bells so much... Found this... Of all musical instruments, BELLS are known to have the most healing properties. The sounds of church bells produce a special frequency that is amplified by the building itself, which resonates through all the organs and tissues in our bodies to produce the healing effect.
Yes, the bit you hold to ring the bells, is called the sally. What is the origin of sally? Originally the word described the action of the rope jumping up at the hand stroke, from the old French word sauler. In modern French 'sauter' means 'to jump'. Later the word was applied to the fluffy woolly part of the rope added to make it easier to hold the rope on the 'jumping stroke'. It is in the perfect position for you to ring it in your office! xxx
For the first time, the town heard the bell ringing, wondering "Is the BELL RINGING from the Covent"?!! What a wonderful Christmas gift, to give to the townspeople, just in time for Christmas 🎄 🤶🙏❤❤❤❤ Billy, Sean, Ryan, Rick and families, MERRY CHRISTMAS! from the bottom of my ❤ 🙏🙏👏👏👏
Sweet Sweet Sweet music! The bell ringing brings a sense of life and rebirth on an occasion where we remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Wait! One of the guys can ring the bell!! It would be beautiful to hear it on Christmas Day. Thank you for this wonderful resortation series. It is a delight to watch.
The bell has a beautiful tone! Sean was having a good time! Now to learn the technique of holding the note, letting it sing out, and nearly fade before the next chime. A pulley will help with that.
MADE! MY! DAY! We ALL here loved hearing the bell and could not stop smiling! Wonderful, just wonderful. I’m sure the town will absolutely love it, too! Kudos, Billy et al…
That is awesome! I bet the people in the town were very surprised to hear that. live in USA and my small Lutheran church is 100 years old, we have a bell that the area people wait to hear it ring on Sundays. WE love it. Love your bell tOO
It was so wonderful to finally hear the Bell ring. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and my parents and I would hear the church bells on our way to church. What a beautiful memory. Thank You.❤️🙏⛪🔔
What a wonderful sound so close to Christmas! Every time a bell rings another angel gets it's wings! Thank you for giving wings away today! Merry Christmas to all!
Well, thank you Billy it was a pleasant surprise and yes, the bell still has a very glorious tune to it. Have a very merry Christmas to you and your whole family. Bye for now. Rosemary 🌹🎄🌹
They used to ring the bell at 6 am, 12 pm, and 6 pm to call the faithful to recite the Angelus, a prayer recited in honour of the Incarnation of God. Also right before any Mass, after a wedding or funeral, baptism, or other sacrament. They have electronic bell ringers, I think.
That was so emotional Billy. I can't stop the tears. The convent has her voice back and it is magnificent. Please keep ringing that lovely bell. You have all given us the best Xmas present ever. Happy Christmas to all your wonderful team and family. You have deserved a fabulous holiday. Big hugs to Ryan too. 🎄🥂🍻🎅🎆
What an accomplishment Billy...again tears of joy for you and the "Convents Miricale Bell Tower" I too wondered what the towns people thought of the bell ringing. In the movie "It's a Wonderful life" When a bell rings an angel gets his wings. So cool and awesome Billy. Enjoy your Christmas with your family!!!
I was crying of happiness!!! Even now that I’m writing this text my eyes keep watering. I’m so so happy for this great achievement in the convent!! Thank you for sharing!!
There was no Fridays video. They wanted to open two more sink traps. I guess one of them was full with diamonds. So they took the loot and ran! 🤣 Merry Christmas!
I've never enjoyed hearing a bell ring more than the convents. Such a wonderfully joyous day. Did anyone from the town come to the convent when it rang? ❤🐨🎄
I was hoping for an episode on Friday, but I would want to enjoy my family also. I hope each and every one of you have a great Christmas, and be surrounded by family. 🎄 ❤
ahhh, that's a sound I love hearing, I used to live close to a church and listening to the bells was so relaxing. Almost like the train horns I can hear now off in the distance.
Whoop! Whoop! The bell is ringing! So exciting, I got goose flesh! Well done and a Merry Christmas to you all. You really should consider driving down on Christmas day to the convent to ring the bell for your boys. They and the community would love it! ❤ You should be really proud Billy. You all did such a great job.
Wow! That is awesome! When I heard the bell ringing from outside thoughts ran through my head of how the towns people must be startled then a happy surprise that there must be a new bell at the old Convent. I'm very impressed! Good job, men! I wish I could be there in person to hear it on Christmas. 🎄⛄❄️😊
You guys did great. You're right there's no reason for you to be at the convent on Christmas morning. Enjoy the day with your family and boys. God bless and Merry Christmas
What a glorious sound! Beautiful! Reminds me of hearing the bell carillon in 1974 that replaced the 4 that were lost in a fire at our church a few years before. It filled my heart with such peace and joy. It's hard to describe but perhaps this way: it's like rediscovering a long lost friend that you haven't seen or spoken to in 20 years. When you reconnect, your life feels more complete.
I’m grinning from ear to ear watching this - you must be so thrilled, the bell tower lives again, and the bell sounds fabulous!!! Well done Billie and Shaun! Merry Christmas to the Convent team, and to all the Pethericks!
Thank you Billy and Sean. There would have been many un the village who heard the bell ring again, this would have brought back so many memories for them. It sounds so lovely. Merry Christmas to you and Gwen and all your family 💕🇦🇺
The sweetest sound I have heard in a long time. I have been longing to hear a bell ring as it is not allowed in Canada ( I think ). I haven't heard one in a long time. BRAVO guys.
Billy, I am happy you rang the bell today, the village hasn't heard that beautiful sound in so long, it gives them hope in the coming new year, and you get to enjoy Christmas with your beautiful family. So Happy/Merry Christmas to all of the Patherick family, crew and the fur kiddos, here's to a happy and healthy new year see you all then. Much love from N.Y.
Wonderful! Such a treat to hear the bell ring!! What a wonderful finish to the year and all your accomplishments at the convent, you’ve come a long way!! Congratulations and a very Merry Christmas to all of you!!
