Make your own macrame coaster or wall hanging using this super simple DIY Tutorial.
You only need to know 2 different knots (the square and the larks head. See video links below)
1 small dowel 10-12 inches long (or a long pencil!)
4 pieces of 4 or 5mm string at 24 inches long
8 pieces of 4 or 5mm string at 36 inches long
Tape
Scissors
Brush
You can make this project as shown in the video taped to a table top, or tape to the edge of a table so the string hangs down in front of you while sitting at the table. I find knotting is easier this way. OR hang it on your macrame rack!
Once you get to the trimming part, you can decide to leave it as a mini heart wall hanging OR trim to make a coaster!
