Heart Disease in Dogs and Cats (Congenital) 

In some dogs and cats, heart conditions may be present at birth. We call these congenital heart diseases, and some may lead to complications over time if left untreated. In this webinar, Dr. Carl Toborowsky, a board-certified cardiologist at Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in New York City, discusses some of the common congenital heart diseases in dogs and cats, how they can be diagnosed and treated, and the long-term prognosis of these conditions.
Dr. Carl Toborowsky is a board-certified cardiologist who earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC, and a Cardiology Residency at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined Schwarzman Animal Medical Center's cardiology service in September 2022.
