I am heart failure nurse practitioner and I teach heart failure. Interesting to hear it from a family practitioner perspective. It’s very important to refer patients to a heart failure specialist as management varies depending on patient’s stage and functional capacity as 1 out of 5 patients die within 5 years if not properly treated.
US based primarily! I always recommend double checking what the guidelines are outside the US - a lot of guidelines we follow here are also international guidelines but I haven't practiced outside the US so I can't speak to practice specifically in the UK/elsewhere
