Today’s video is all about congestive heart failure (CHF) medications and antihypertensive drugs for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review.
Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a condition in which the heart's ability to pump blood is reduced. As a nurse, you (or a doctor) will likely prescribe CHF medications to help control your patient’s blood pressure.
These medications are antihypertensive drugs. As a part of cardiac pharmacology, you’ll also have to know all about ACE inhibitors, beta blockers, and diuretics. So don’t miss this installment in our Pharmacology series with plenty of practice questions!

You are a lifesaver, thanks for all you do. I passed my Nclex on my first attempt 10/04/2023.I only watched your youtube videos for my content. I didn't take my Nclex right after I graduated. I had so much going on during the summer, so I extended my schedule date on a two different occasions. My last schedule date was a day before the expiration of my ATT number and I only had about two weeks to prepare myself, after refusing to look at anything that was book related (after graduation)and prolonging for almost 3 months to take my Nclex. Your youtube videos was a great help, all I could hear was your voice during my exam. Thanks so much for your hard work and the time you put into helping students. May God bless you abundantly🙏🙏

Hello,.. I just want to drop my experienced here and I need advice please,. I was a nurse in the ER and the GP doctor ordered omeprazole IV and primperan IV,. She said mix the omeprazole in 300 ml of normal saline then if it is 100 ml then mix the primperan metoclopromide,. Is it acceptable to mixe two medicines in IV fluid? This is my first time and I’m working in the private,. My concern is most of our patients are VIP mean high educated,. Thanks

I have chf too,,,diastolic. So much of our life span depends on us. Taking meds correctly? Watching sodium level the way your cardiologist has given you per day? Fluids,,all Fluids, soup, coffee , etc? Exercising? Losing weight? The more we do, the better we do. The less we do, the less time we have. Its like maintaining a car. If we have our cars looked at often, have all maintenance done properly our cars last a very long time. But if do not maintain our cars, they cost more in the end. They don't work well. Chances greatly increase they'll not last as long. Please maintain your heart. I am.

Good video! Friendly suggestions-it would be better to be more conscious of how often using the term "guys" to reference the viewers. Nursing is a mainly female dominant profession and there are many other words that that can be used to address the collective.. such as "nurses", people, folks...
