I'm crying over a bracelet. I've never made friendship bracelets before and what I ended up with looked nothing like a heart. 😭 EDIT: I'm trying it again and it's coming together 😻

Timeslip: 0:41 - Necessities 1:40 - Beginning 2:15 - Step #1 5:11 - Step #2 7:04 - Step #3 8:44 - Step #4 **i found this easier since the steps had to be repeaten**

SOME TIPS: • make sure to really tighten the knots • pay attention to the knots watch a video first whats a forwards and backwards knot • in your first bracelet use the same colors as her its just easier AND DONT GIVE UP you got this❤

this is just for me (also it makes more sense after you've seen the video if you wanna use it) to start, you should have your strings going (pink red pink red red pink red pink) from left to right. the strings should be tied in a loop at the top so that they come back down, making four strings into the eight. 2:15 step one: taking the furthest left pink string, do forward knots until it reaches the middle. then do backward knots with the furthest correct pink string until you reach the middle. when both sides have reached the middle, do a forward knot to tie those two pink strings together in the middle. 5:11 step two: with the two furthest left strings (should be a red first and a pink second), make a backward knot - pink around red. then move the pink out of the way (up or way to the side). then on the right side, take the furthest right two (a red on the outside and a pink second to right) and do a forward knot - pink around red. then move that pink out of the way too. still step two: take the furthest left string (should be red) and do forward knots through the next two strings until you reach the middle. do the same thing on the right with the furthest right string (should also be red) but with backward knots until you reach the middle. then, do a forward knot with the two middle red ones to connect them. 7:04 step three: make a backward knot with the two on the far left (red around pink) then move the red out of the way. then do a forward knot with the two far right strings (red around pink) and move that red out of the way too. after you've done this, take the far left string and make forward knots from the left until you reach the middle. then do the same on the right, starting on the far right and making backward knots until you reach the middle. then connect the middle two with a forward knot. 8:44 step four: (just a repeat of step one but when you finish it, it makes a heart.) hope this helped anyone who just needed descriptions for repeats :)

0:54 I’ve been making these bracelets for YEARS and how long the string initially is or needs to be is dependent on how many stripes are gonna be in it. They shorten up immensely when you’re working on and you never know how long you really need until you’re done!

Just needed this for myself but a written explanation: 1) Knots all the way over to the middle both ways, knot middle together 2) knot second to last string knot over last string both sides, knot to middle without last strings, knot middle most strings 3) same as 2 4) same as 1

So love making these and giving them out and receiving them too.

(Notes for myself) 1- far left string and do forward knots (4) until middle (all left side) ; Far right side and do backwards knots ( inverted 4) until middle; connect the middle (white) with a forward knots (4); 2- far left side do backwards knot with outer left (white over red), get pink/ white string out of the way; same thing over the right side but with a forward knot; Do forward knots with untouched left strings; and backward knots with untouched right strings; Connect red with forward knot 3- backwards knot with two strings on the left strings( red over white) , forward knot with the two strings on the right ( red over white) ; move red aside, go back to the left side and do forward knot until middle; go to right side and do backwards knots until middle; (without the red aside, obv) Connect both White strings with forward knot; 4- forward knots on left side until middle, and backward knots on right side until middle; connect middle strings with a forward knot; Repeat until bracelet

This was much better than other tutorials I’ve watched.

All the tiktok tutorials were stressing me out but this one was really helpful and it’s coming along nicely!! Tip for others struggling: I’m horrible and bracelet making and was STRUGGLING with this one BUT once you get the first heart done the strings lay in place a lot better and it’s much easier! Stick with it and good luck!

I know lots of people are confused, so here’s a suggestion!! I’d recommend starting with a chevron bracelet, as it introduces you into all the knots. Then, I’d move onto this. Chevron is more beginner friendly!! Hope this helps.

I am sat in my room at 3am trying to do this. I have pulled a lot of hair out which is now trapped in the mangled piece of string I have made which cannot be classed as a bracelet. My screaming and shouting at my pathetic crafting skills has made my throat horse, but the amount of tears spilling from my eyes is enough to sate my thirst. At least I don't have to move from my bed to get water. Anyway, other than that, pretty decent tutorial ❤

0:54 I have been making friendship braclets for only like 1 or 2 years and have seen that the size on the bracelet depends on how many nots or in this case hearts and how big/think ur wrist or ankle is. It dosent really matter if its five feet or not it’s just what she would normally do because that’s the thickness she is comfortable with.

so for anyone extremely confused, this video is most likely for people who are pretty comfortable with bracelet making and strings. before learning this, i recommend learning the candy stripe *and* then the chevron bracelet type to help with this.

I made this for myself. maybe it can help u too ! Heart Bracelet step 1: light blue , left, forward knot till middle light blue, right, backwards knot till middle CONNECT WITH FORWARD KNOT step 2: start on left, take 2 outer strings and make a backwards knot with light blue then get it out of way. same thing on the right side, forward knot, light blue over dark, set light blue aside. left -> middle forward knot , right -> middle backwards knot. CONNECT USE FORWARD KNOT step 3: same as row 2. forwards till middle on left. backwards to middle on right. step 4: same as row 1.
