As we stand at the cusp of 2024, Pastor Preston Jones and Pastor Becky Jones deliver a timely call for the church to cultivate greater hunger for the presence and glory of God. We must pray for the spirit of wisdom, revelation and enlightened eyes to see what God is doing in this new year.
Pastor Preston declares this the “year of the eye” where God will open blind eyes to perceive from Heaven’s perspective. The fog will clear as we lean into prayer this year like never before.
Pastor Becky reminds us that God is searching for a people who will lay down their excuses, personal agendas and idols of comfort to relentlessly pursue His presence. We must remove all barriers in our hearts that would hinder us from following hard after Him. As we answer the call to obedience, fixing our eyes solely on Jesus, 2024 will become a year of great breakthrough for the church. Lives will be powerfully touched by His glory. But first, we must commit to follow wherever He leads without reservation or delay.
As we respond to the beckoning of God’s heart as the new year dawns, He will meet us with fresh power, revelation and favor. But we must boldly and intentionally draw closer first. May we answer the call in 2024 to seek His face with fresh desperation, hungering for more than we’ve known before!
The invitation stands clear for every believer this year - will we have ears to hear the voice of the Lord and a heart willing to obey at the first beckoning? May we lay down petty preferences and distractions to become a bride who cherishes the presence of the Bridegroom above all.
