I am a professional collage artist and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the fact you recognized the worth of the collage you bought. Detailed collages like this take an amazing amount of hours to create and are quite often not appreciated. You both rock!
Michael and Richard!! I loved the magical piece of artwork that the artist created from all the various images! You might like this book I found about the first "altered" art artist. It is the true story of Mary Delany. In 1772 at age of 72, created a new art form, that we now know as 'mixed media collage" Her works of 900 plus botanically correct pieces are housed in The British Museum, and are referred to as, "Flora Delanica".. The book is, "The Paper Garden", by Molly Peacock. The author has her own story intertwined. Thought you might be interested!!
The collage is the big winner today! I wonder how many hours were put into creating that piece? Also loved the frogs stand. I change the bases I use on my paperweight collection all the time. Creates a whole new look. Nice meeting Richard. Thank you Michael for taking us along. Always a pleasure 🤗
Michael and Richard, what a delicious location, so happy for you both that Devine collage has found it’s forever home! Love that the vendor accepted your offer! Would love to see it in your home. Eye candy is always great for our souls 💕😍💕
Congratulations on the magical picture. What a special one of a kind find. You deserve it for all of your hard work searching for the perfect collection. I can't even imagine the work it must have been cutting out all the special pictures. Great job!
Thanks for introducing us to Richard. The cranberry brandy snifter had very strange coloring. The one side was almost white. Better have your credit card fully charged to shop here. They do have unusual pieces but definitely pricey. That was an unusual Fenton sticker. The glitter on the putz people was great but the price wasn’t very friendly. Kudos to the artist that did the framed collage.
Welcome, Richard. Sweet score on the red and white vase. I agree with Richard. I really like the color of the package toppers. The beak on the red bird would be scary to ship! I remember your teddy bear. Wow!! So glad you got the collage!
The mid-century (no glass) booth was like my past in a booth. First there was a Penguin server (I have mine and Mom’s), then, on the table was an electric food warming tray! I got one for a wedding gift in the 70s. I never used it for food, but I did take it to the school where I taught and used it for art class. We covered it with foil, then laid our paper on the tray and drew with crayons - which, of course, melted. It was one of those specific use items that I must have gotten rid of during one of my moves.
I go to this antique mall like a couple times a year. I just went in October where I walked away with a vintage 1980s Care Bear Cousin, Lotsa Heart Elephant, as well as a few items. I really enjoy going to this place. Sure yeah a lot of walking, but friendly tip if you want to eat inside for lunch or a snack BRING cash, cause they do not take card.
Hi Richard ❤ So good to see you guys together. Fun video. Love the collage!!! I’m pretty sure there is a dead baby bottom right. They took those kind of pictures back then . 😢
I love the collage and the teal and gold poinsettias ‼️ That’s so interesting about the bear 🐻 I believe I have one almost identical. Mine is dark brown but has the same barrel shaped chest and “jointed” limbs. I know it is old , it was my brother’s and he passed @ age 2 in 1958.
Please tell me you got that amazing framed collage piece!!! Feel like it’s worth at least 10 times the asking price!! Loved it!! Oh shoot!! Commented before the end of the video……yay!!🎉🎉🎉 so happy you own that piece!
Michael, so glad they took your offer on the collage. What a find that was! Nice meeting Richard, putting a face with the name, nice. I think your collage made your day😊
So happy you were able to purchase that gorgeous art! So unique. And keep working on Richard. Soon he will be co hosting! Always a joy to watch your videos,
That angel with the silver wings was the exact same one we had on my tree growing up. My mom gave it to my sister and she lost it in a storage room forfeiture. She didn't make the payments My heart jumped when I saw you scan over her
If you ever want to sell that collage..I'm interested. I've been making collages for years love Romare Beardon,'s art. Thank you to person who mentioned book! Great stuff in this vid.
Having been to The Heart of Ohio on several occasions, IMHO, the further you go back the cheaper it gets. The cases are fun too because you get to see things you’ve only seen in books. I was a little suspicious of that “Roseville” and of several more items in that booth. Maybe it was just me, but items appeared a little too fresh. The collage was epic. Congratulations on that. P.S. So nice to meet you, Richard.
Oh, I liked everything you got! Richard, the red and white piece was so very pretty! And the deer decanter, beautiful! Michael, the art piece was so very interesting! ❤
Michael i was watching a channel called FollowthatbugVintage an she showed a palmer cox brownie figurine that was amazing. I dont remember the store she was at. Give her a watch. It was a AMAZING PIECE
Congrats on the collage. It is fantastic. So much love went into that. I actually liked the green apple with the frog base. It looked kind of fairy tale. I could see Maleficent keeping her poison apple on a little frog base like that. I am just a fairy tale kinda girl.
Two handsome me in one video. 😀 So cute how you laughed when you realized the mirror caught you tripping. So many pretty things. That brass figures frame was beautiful! I love when you find the things YOU like since my taste is on the same types of things. Love your frequent content. I was so hoping the vase was $30 for you, not $300. Darn. It was a stunner! Lovely decanter, too. When you picked up the “interesting” pink glass dish I felt my forehead furrow and could only imagine the questionable look on my face. Haha
