Dude, you have awesome videos! Can you do this with serve the servants? I can´t find the vocals and the guitars, but i think it´s easy for you do that!
He doesn't do that, he just takes the tracks from guitar hero, and guitar hero simply had to ask for the master tapes to have that track, it's impossible to isolate that just from a software
exactly and theres a song written with Kat Bjelland if im not mistaken and considering theyve both spoken about that song i think its rest assured that the album was written by Courtney... plus this is rock not pop music where no one writes their own music
Almost all of the distorted guitar tracks were just a cranked Fender Quad Reverb amp with missing tubes and a few other quirks. He never took the amp on tour because he thought that if the techs got their hands on it and “fixed” it then the sound would change. No pedal will ever replicate this sound as the only way to achieve it would be to play through the original, half broken down amp, or build a perfect replica.
On this one, he used as follows: Boss DS-2 with the Turbo switch tapped off; Fender Twin Reverb Amp; Fender Mustang with hot rails on the bridge; Electro Harmonix Echoflanger (same as the Polychorus). The microphones used were Shure SM57s. 3 tracks were recorded in order to complete the song's guitar parts. They are, however, not double tracked at all.
OtavioFesoares what is double tracking, is it when you record the first guitar and pan it right ear and then record the other guitar and pan it to left ear
+OtavioFesoares where'd you find that info? I checked kurtsequipment & it didn't mention that, so is there another source that's just as good or better for figuring out his recording gear?
