Honestly this movie is such a good movie, with such great and relatable characters. I personally kin Shoya, but all the characters are relatable in some aspect. The amount of chat or development everyone goes through, especially the two main characters is insane, and it’s beautiful. It made me cry so many times, and this song fits with the movie so well

id do anything to watch this movie for the first time again

me and my friend used to talk about this movie a lot. he and i were both going through some kinda rough stuff, and we really related to shoya and some of the other characters. we had practically everything in common, especially for our love for really creative things. i remember one time he told me the first time he watched it he balled his eyes out, and it made me really sad. it made me sad because i knew if he cried, he had to be thinking the same stuff shoya did. that's why i cried, anyway. we don't talk at all anymore. he really is a different person. popular, funny, cool, the typical guy that everyone loves. but, i still sometimes catch him staring at me, and i catch myself staring at him. i guess we still have that connection, no matter how little we talk. maybe one day we can have a heart to heart conversation like we used to. thank you for making this, by the way. have a good one. This movie is a real harsh truth about life and it teaches you a lot of things. But it's so depressing and heart wrenching, so only watch if you can handle it or if you want to cry. Awesome edit, I'll probably watch it again. Another good anime is Your Name if you guys are interested in these sad and beautiful anime

No anime or anime movie has ever made me cry the way I did with this one. something about it just made me feel as if I related, the plot is amazing, the characters are amazing, and everything that was included in this movie. all the work put into is just amazing, you rarely find these kinds of relatable movies and it's just amazing how the author knew exactly how to do it.

to me ishida is so relatable, although i never really confronted the people i hurt in the past and never asked for forgiveness. i regret it. i wish i could, i wish i asked for forgiveness before leaving. makes me feel like a coward, i just have to learn to accept it

this song reminds me of simpler times.... times where I came from school exhausted and just watched anime to escape from reality..

This movie is an absolute masterpiece with impeccable writing and great characters and emotional scenes killed me I like both Shoya & Shouko Also this song goes so well with the anime

Having to have watched this recently, i can say that i've never felt the pace and feelings of a movie or anime, but this movie was just amazing, i can't put into words how good the story and character development of this movie is. I only wish they could make a spinoff/sequal to this movie.

I was first introduced to a silent voice by the same format, it being an amv but with a different song called "lover is a day". Though it didn't hit me as well as it did on that amv, this one gave me the nostalgia of when i first found this anime masterpiece and I really like this one too since i have been a very long time fan of mac de marco. The first time I cried after a while was with this film but when I'm saying "a while" is like 2-3 year of not crying. I can relate the protagonist someway and see how a film is hitting in almost all my weak points is... strange but comfortable at the same time. It feels like if someone is actually understanding my deep feelings in a film I like it to much tbh.

beautifully written movie, makes so much sense too. Ive cried on 3 movies and i've watched millions of sad ones, this one counts even if i didn't shed a tear, because i felt myself crying inside. trust me haha To me, its always the relatable movies. This one is my top 3, its just beautifully written, animated, background is just BEAUTIFUL. and its sad. Up there with spirit, clouds and the good dinosaur for me. This edit is beautiful, most beautiful ive seen, even if theres no flashy transitions, the calmness, matching the scenes, its just beautiful, and i used to edit. props to you man, love this so much

ive tried watching this movie when i was little and could not understand it at all, even the balcony and hospital scene. all i know was that shoko was Deaf. then, around 15 years old ive watched it again and related to it with my whole entire heart. the x's on the face at first i thought was a little confusing, but after some time, ive come to realize that he was just like i was. it was like he is me. when i am in the middle of the crowd, i tend to look down instead of up because if i do look up, i feel like everyone is judging me. but when i look down, my heart is anxious, but at peace. and the x's were quite similar. when meeting new people or being in a new environment, people's faces are blurry and i cannot remember a single expression that they have that day. looking back at my first day of highschool, ive felt exactly like both of these things. i dont know why im saying this, actually. not like ive gotten better or made myself more friends than i had in elementary school. just wanted to get this out of my chest.

This has to be one of the best movies I’ve seen, the developments and the story line. It contains depression, anxiety and suicide. But at last, there was friendship and freedom in the end. Plus this teaches the harsh reality nowadays, and everyone should have a friend like Nagatsuka. But anyways, 10/10 movie, W movie and I cried like 3 times and also recommend to watch it.
