How did you get the polish to remove so easily when you cleaned it off your skin? I use a non-acetone and i literally have to scrub it in to get it off.
Hey! I'd love to help out. Can you give me more details about the issues you are having? Are you just wondering how to apply them straight or how to get them to stick better?
The Base Coat when I apply the base coat it smears each time even after my nail art is fully dried for maybe 20-25 minutes. My next question is how do u apply the top coat color to vynil sticker designs onto nails for the design to show and not smear when I peel off the designs?
You shouldn't be applying a base coat on top of your nail art - try using a top coat. You want apply the top coat with a light hand, so that the top coat covers your polish, but the brush of the top coat does not touch the polish underneath. Apply the top polish color with a makeup sponge to get even coverage. Peel off the stencil immediately after sponging the polish on. You do not want the polish to dry on top of the stencil.
The Base Coat I meant to say after using the top coat and the makeup sponge they both mess up my nail art. But you did say that when using the sponge don't keep it on there for too long and that is where I'm making the mistake. :(
How do you make sure that the polish doesn't get under the stencil tape? That's my problem and it creates a big mess on my nails and doesn't look clean at all. :/
tigergirl305 I cut the vinyl to fit my nail curve better and sponge on the polish. I find this is the best method to prevent the polish from leaking under the stencil
I personally do not reuse the stencils because I clip the sides of them with scissors to fit the curve of my nail better. I have seen that some people will reuse them once or twice by placing them on a flat piece of plastic and allowing the polish to dry before using them again. Most of the stencil sheets come with enough stencils for multiple manis, so reusing them isn't really necessary.
LaUrEnAsHeLy111 you could do your base color polish with gel. On top of the gel base, use regular polish to sponge over the stencils, remove the stencil and allow that polish to dry completely. Finally, apply a gel topcoat and cure.
