I am an ultrasound tech and honestly seeing a heartbeat that early on can be a challenge! Most often if a heartbeat isn't seen, it's just because you're so early on in your pregnancy. Don't give up hope just yet!!
unrelated to the video but was becoming an ultrasound tech worth it?? if it was, would you do it again? Sorry I’m just still thinking about careers and don’t want to set myself up for years of unneeded stress and stuff lol.
I’d love to train as an ultrasound tech but can’t imagine giving the bad news :( babies are always a reason to celebrate even when they’re not planned… once you get used to the idea, ripping the ‘what could’ve been’ away from someone seems horrific even tho you’re not responsible for the viability of said pregnancy. I’ve miscarried so I remember the pain still 22 years later x
A heartbeat wasn’t found on my son until I was over 10 weeks, I also had low hcg and he is 6 now and thriving. Hold on to hope, what you are going through is more common than you think.
Same!! I was told I had a cyst not a pregnancy- I knew it was a pregnancy- my hcg levels were also very low at first. I delivered almost 32 weeks to a 6lbs 5ounces healthy girl - she is 6 in a month and thriving ❤
People need to understand this. Always demand second ultrasound follow ups. I was told I had a missed miscarriage at 7w1d because no heartbeat or fetal pole just yolk sac was seen on scan -I think I measure 5w 6d anyway. They gave me no hope by saying it was a miscarriage and offered me a D&C the next day!!!! You guys. I will never not wonder if I should have waited and demanded a second ultrasound. I was so devastated at the time and trusted what they told me.
Depending on how early it is, it may just take another couple weeks 🤞🏼 if not, we’re here for you. I’ve lost 5, it’s hard. Stay cautiously optimistic, there’s still a chance ❤ EDIT: it’s still so early! We didn’t even see a fetal pole at. 6 weeks 4 days. We didn’t see a heartbeat until 8 weeks for any of our rainbows.
For all those concerned she revealed on Instagram they went in for another scan and thank goodness everything is okay! Her pregnancy is progressing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve lost three , completely understand the anxiety and sadness this kind of news causes. We just found out TODAY we are expecting after a miscarriage 2 months ago so I am of course excited but also feel scared and almost numb in a way. I guess we develop these feelings to cope with loss. Huge and praying for all of us trying💕
I hope all goes well this time. I lost two pregnancies before having my son. One was an ectopic pregnancy. Thank goodness I went in to the clinic and had a technician examine me when I discovered something was wrong. I had immediate access to an abortion. This allowed me to have my two children not long after. I knew a woman who lost 7 before having her son! You are not alone!

For 2 out of 3 of mine they couldn't find a heartbeat until 9 weeks. I have strong faith and prayers that this beautiful miracle baby will be strong and healthy for you just as you deserve. ❤️
Don’t get discouraged love! I was having heaving bleeding for 2 week straight with my daughter and they told me I was most likely going to have a miscarriage ! And now I have a healthy and thriving soon to be 4 month old! ❤️

I imagine hearing that they didn’t hear a heartbeat yet would be pretty scary and you would probably assume the worst if you were in that position. but like I said I have no clue what the whole story is here so please fill me in because I am very confused.
I know how hard it is, but try try try to hold onto hope. I was told without progesterone pills I would almost definitely lose my second pregnancy. We couldn’t afford them at the time, so we decided to just let nature do her thing. Now, my happy and healthy baby girl is almost 12! Truly hoping for the best for you all!

Jasmine I don’t think your losing this baby honey…. My OB doctor couldn’t see the heart beat until I was 8 weeks pregnant, he even said that you can’t see a fetal heart beat at 6 weeks because it’s way to early….😊You can look it up you normally don’t see a heart beat that early. Keep having hope I believe this is your time for a baby.
I've had five pregnancies total and lost two of my babies. They couldn't find a heartbeat with my girls until around 8-10 weeks. I completely understand the anxiety and the worry but please don't stress out about it ( I get that its really hard not to) Your family and all of us here are here for you and love you!
I have 2 kids but I have had 13 pregnancies and they weren't able to see a heartbeat until almost 8 weeks, if you were measuring 6 weeks and 1 day it probably too early. I hope everything is ok honey, I'm sure all will be fine but I am sending you love and hugs and kisses and prayers ❤️
I had a scan at ten weeks due to the fact i was lightly bleeding ,I had a scan and there was no heartbeat, the nurse said i shud prepare myself for the worse. My son is now 15yrs old and we r so close. Dnt give up hope Jasmine and Maverick, and God bless xxx
🙏🏻❤ I thought I was having a miscarriage bc I started bleeding heavily went to ER for them to confirm with an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound. I was sent home still bleeding and preparing for the worse. I was given a script to have another ultrasound/transvaginal 4 days later to confirm the miscarriage but to my surprise they found a heartbeat. So please don't lose hope
My first 2 drs appointments with my second baby, they couldn't find anything but a fetal pole, I was much earlier than we all thought. He is a happy and healthy 5 year old now! I know the feelings, its much harder said than done, but please try to occupy your mind and keep good thoughts. It really does help

i had a emergency scan at 4 -5weeks,,,,, i was tested 2-4 weeks preg via hometest then a week later fell very hard on some pointed gates //////went hospital and no heartbeat ,,, i was 17 and i thought my baby was no longer with me ,,the next day i had another scan emergency and a little heart beat filled the room
Honestly at 35 ive seen so many friends go through their up and downs right at the beginning of their pregnancy. There's kind of unspoken thing that folks don't say anything as soon as they find out their preggo or before the 1st couple of doctor's visits. It was kind of a hard lesson my friend group learned in our 20s. Wishin you and baby the best.
It’s cuz they want to capitalize early on any pregnancy related clickbait title they can… lmao I like jasmine but that’s just RU-vidrs in general when it comes to pregnancy. I’m sure she truly cares about her baby and would be sad if she lost it however, they know pregnancy related content is what gets clicks so the sooner they announce then the sooner they can roll out the clickable title videos. Makes sense I suppose and I agree anyone can do what they want but like, most women don’t announce till middle to end of first trimester. Announcing at 6 weeks is really risky but she knows the risks- she’s just willing to let it be what it will be for the sake of content.
I have had 2 miscarriages and 2 healthy babies. I learned quickly that not telling about the pregnancy didn't help. I was so devestated by my 1st miscarriage which occured after 3 yrs of trying to get pregnant, that I literally couldn't function. Anyone that I had any contact with at that time period knew something was seriously wrong with me. I cried at the drop of a hat and had to tell people anyways. I figured if I shared the heartbreak I might as well share the joys as well. Also, I needed the support of the people around me. People are now realizing miscarriage isn't a taboo subject.
I was literally in your position last week, they didn't see a baby at all at 6 weeks 2 days. Cried all weekend. But yesterday I went back and there was a heartbeat at 7 weeks 2 days!

This is perfectly normal. My daughter in law had her first sonogram there was no heartbeat either. She was 8 wks. Daughter in law is now 22 weeks. I’m convinced you are fine. ❤
My scan looked exactly like that at 7w. I had another scan at 9 weeks and there was a strong heart beat and I measured 9w. Baby had a heart beat of 176bpm. I have hope for you

My Dr only does Ultrasounds before 8 wks if it is absolutely necessary to make sure the pregnancy is in the correct place.. They generally like to wait until 8 wks because so often before that time it is difficult to see the heartbeat, and this causes patients unnecessary stress and worry. Being on the cusp of when you might begin to see a heartbeat is not the same as being at a point you should be able to see it. A day or two can make a huge difference, its right at the cusp means you could have potentially seen it. She could see the fetal poll and everything else looked great. I wouldn't have expected to see it at all before 6 wks 4 or 5 days, if you do its just bonus. If the hcg numbers are doubling appropriately I really don't see a problem here.
I lost 8 babies and when i was pregnant with my rainbow daughter i bled the for the first four to five months it was terrifying i would go so often to make sure baby was still fine 😢 thank God she was ❤❤❤❤❤ but nerve wracking i only have two earth daughters and the rest are all my angel babies but i know one day we will be reunited with those we lost ❤ I'm so relieved to hear everything is okay Mama

Girl let me tell you, I didn't see a heartbeat and the dr told me I was going to miscarry and I was a mess for 2 weeks! Cried yelled cursed God you name it, I didn't leave my bed for the whole 2 weeks and when I went back boom there she was and now she's a happy healthy 3 year old! Don't give up hope please

This is why many places won’t do first us till around 8 weeks. They only saw yolk sac on mine No fetal pole at 6 weeks. By 9 weeks we saw it all 💗Sure you’ll see heart beat soon😊
Less then 20 weeks with my second i found out my little boy had a problem with his brain..luckily it was nothing after we went to a specialist and now hes 2 and healthy ❤

This same thing happened to me mama. I was devastated that they couldn’t detect a heartbeat but in the early stages like that sometimes the baby is so tiny. I was told that the gestational sac and fetal pole were present so that’s a good sign and you have that too. My baby is now 13 months ❤Praying for you. I’m sorry you had to deal with this. My doctors office would refuse to make an appointment before nine weeks and that used to irritate me both times I was pregnant but now I understand how important it is for mama’s mental health to wait until it’s a lot easier to see things.
I'm so sorry dear momma. The not knowing is such a hard place to be. I got pregnant the beginning of this year and saw a healthy heartbeat on ultrasound on valentine's day and then three days later I had a huge hemmorage (called a subchorionic hematoma) but they still found baby on ultrasound and all was well and they put me on bed rest. At my next appointment baby no longer had a heartbeat and it was just so devastating. I hope you have good news at your next appointment and you had extra to celebrate this mother's day. And if you had the worst news, I am so so heartbroken with you. Your baby was loved all their days and I hope you can heal.
I was told my daughter was Downs at 15 weeks. And then we did an amniocentesis and she was fine . I went thru stress during Christmas. All babies are different. Miracles happen when your faith in God is strong.😊

its rare to see a heartbeat before 8 weeks (sometimes earlier with an internal ultrasound) So dont fret too much.. I would expect the worse but hope for the best because you dont want to be blindsided either way, I will keep your little one and your family in my thoughts and hope it all turns out okay! ♥

I was a high risk pregnancy😭 had to be watched like a hawk..I said I'm fine What scared me the most was when it was time to deliver they could not find her heartbeat. 4 years later my daughter is a smart Little cookie I love her to bits my mini boss 😆 now we struggle to have a 2nd baby last year this time was hard and difficult. Two of mine didn’t see heartbeat til around 11/12weeks as was hiding behind the placenta every time and ended up finding it by doing a transvaginal scan xx
I was told, my 3rd pregnancy when I went into the ER cuz I was bleeding, they couldn't find anything on ultrasound. So then they had me do the transvaginal ultrasound. They couldn't find it, but they needed my bladder full to be able to... So I drank water, & drank more water... Taking many hours & I'm freaking out & scared... They finally got it on machine. Of course she can't say anything... The Dr took forever. He finally comes in tells us I have a blighted ovum & I will miscarry in the next 48 hours, & gave me some vicodin & sent us home. Blighted ovum is a sac & yolk etc.. Just no baby.. There never was cuz basically the egg never fully fertilized.. It never WAS.. That's it... So I went home & cried. Waited for the pain... Nothing happened. About 4 days later I called my primary Dr & her nurse was my best friend.. So I'm crying & telling her & she says hang on.. Tells my Dr what's up & I haven't miscarried at all yet so she gets Dr to order a blood draw to check my hormone level... I go do it & my bestie calls me later & says Dr wants me to go back tomorrow to draw again. Did that.. It's now like day 4.. Calls me with the results & my hcg doubled the first test & increased again.. So she had me wait a day this time, get labs but also go back for a Trans vag ultrasound which once again it took forever for my bladder to fill & then it hurts so badly... But they got it.. That blighted ovum will be 21yo in November. They found her right away, her little heart just beating away... So I'm not one to want to give even the tiniest bit of false hope... But it does happen... And I will be sending lots & lots of love & light to u sweet girl... Hugs 🥺
Praise God everything is okay. Heartbreaking news about what seems like constant miscarriages lately. But the TikTok update is a big relief I have no words for my joy.

My brother's heartbeat wasnt found at 14 weeks. But the tech had a peanut shaped thing and assured my mom that he was fine. He was just in a very weird position
They said it was the cusp of them being able to see it or not so there might not be anything wrong. I don't understand why they scan women so early there. They wait to 12 weeks in the UK unless you've signs of miscarriage.
I was one of those where the tech couldn’t find a heart beat. I was around 6 weeks. Eventually everything was there and little heart was beating. Don’t give up
