Julia Fiona #Roberts, a radiant young actress with a captivating #smile, emerged from the small suburb of Smyrna, #Georgia, to become one of Hollywood's most beloved icons. Born on October 28, 1967, in Smyrna, she grew up in a family steeped in the performing arts. Her parents, Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts, were not only actors but also co-founders of the Atlanta Actors and Writers Workshop, an acting school and community theater. This artistic environment undoubtedly shaped Julia's early years, with her parents' involvement in local theater productions instilling a deep appreciation for the craft. Her older siblings, Eric Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan, would also go on to pursue acting careers, further embedding the family in the entertainment industry. Despite harboring dreams of becoming a veterinarian and showcasing her musical talents as a clarinet player in her school band, Julia's true calling lay in the world of acting. Picture this: a young girl, surrounded by the buzz of rehearsals and performances, gradually finding her own path to stardom amid the supportive yet challenging atmosphere of her family's theatrical pursuits.
Julia's journey to stardom was anything but smooth. After her parents divorced when she was just four, her mother remarried a man named Michael Motes, whose abusive nature cast a shadow over Julia's childhood. Her mother, Betty Lou, worked multiple jobs to support the family, often leaving Julia and her siblings in the care of Motes, whose cruelty left lasting emotional scars. Yet, Julia's dreams remained undeterred. After graduating from Campbell High School in Smyrna, she enrolled at Georgia State University, where she initially pursued a degree in journalism. However, her passion for acting soon led her to drop out and move to New York City, where she lived with her sister Lisa. In the vibrant and competitive landscape of New York, Julia faced numerous rejections before landing her first professional acting gig in 1987 on the television series Crime Story. Her perseverance paid off further with her film debut in Firehouse, a modest role that marked the beginning of her cinematic journey. Think of a young woman navigating the bustling streets of New York, armed with determination and the belief that she was destined for something greater.

Exactly, I always say the paparazzi has a right to take pictures of celebrities when they are on the clock basically when they are performing publicly or by using their celebrity status to promote a fund raiser or just making an appearance, but not when they are going out to eat, or shopping at Home Depot… that should be against the law.

I am confused. Julia’s present husband does not make the decision to stay with his then-wife. The man can say no but do not; it is the other woman's fault when he says yes. Make this make sense! You can not steal/take somebody's spouse if they do not want to go.

No but you can lure someone, hit on someone and influence them. If you are a decent woman you have the courage to tell a married man, before you sleep with them, no. You tell him to either work it out or leave his wife. But you don’t go with someone who is married. And any man or woman that cheats on their spouse will also cheat on you.

You're ridiculous! Her sister obviously had a lot of issues. What is the first thing people who don't work as hard and don't succeed do? They blame someone else. Usually, it is the one who has tried to help repeatedly or the one struggling with their own issues. We don't know the whole story. We don't know what went on behind the scenes. Mental health issues are just that mental health issues. They are not easily explained.And the blame can not be placed on anyone's shoulders. The suicide. Note being published by the media shows a great irresponsibility on the media's part. Completely disrespect of the roberts family. All the media wanted was to take america, sweetheart down a few pigs, even though they're the ones that built her up.

@MaryBarry-ks6hn
@MaryBarry-ks6hn 23 дня назад
Julia and now husband,it was them together. Both to blame . He was married,she and he together broke up his family. Her sister’s , suicide,was not Julia’s fault. At the beginning we heard of their family issues,especially from her dad. Her family divorced when they were young. Anyone who understands the emotional and mental disease of depression,knows, you cannot stop anyone who truly wants to take their life. Once they make that decision,it’s going to happen. Of course you may slow the process, but eventually they’re going to do it. The fact that the family dynamics,mention about the dad ,divorce and there’s going to abandonment issues when that happens. Julie’s relationship with her sister,is her sister’s . Doesn’t it appear she had problems? Maybe she had left over issues from their growing up. Perhaps she was jealous of many things,including Julia’s success. The fact that she wanted to hurt Julia deeply,by doing it when she was getting an award,is sad. The family may have tried many times to help her. We just do not know. getting an award,speaks volumes to me. None of us know anything about what Julia or the family may have done to help her. To me,we cannot guess or know. No blame!
@hobbyhopper3143
@hobbyhopper3143 25 дней назад
I don’t like her much, either but I don’t think you can “drive” anyone to suicide. The problem comes from a lack of support to the suicidal person. Even then, if they’re determined to take their own life there isn’t anything you can do to stop them.
@MaryBarry-ks6hn
@MaryBarry-ks6hn 23 дня назад
The comment lack of support to the depressed person,none of us know anything about this. It may go as far back as the divorce,lack of self esteem,abandonment even hormonal/ chemical imbalance. No blame, we are not privy to this girl’s life story. Just not fair to Julia and to want to hurt her by doing this when Julia was getting an award ,speaks volumes about her sister and her illness!

Why are there clops of Demi Moore as Julia Roberts?
@lianneashby9550
@lianneashby9550 24 дня назад
Whoa, whoa, whoa! What's up with snarky judgmental name calling. This beautiful woman is being condemned for choices her siblings made while struggling with their own lives and the decisions they made. In my family I'm the one who struggles with mental health issues and anything I do is on me not on my family. It's hard and sometimes impossible to figure out how to help a sibling who seems to be so miserable and in pain. It can be a case of self-preservation to step back from such a sad situation. Also I have found most people really don't understand the family dynamics in these situations. Eric obviously had his own demons he was fighting. Too many people think of drug and alcohol abuse as just a physical addiction but it so often starts out as a way to try to numb out pain by self medicating and because of the shaming that has existed in the past and even now exist when people seek help for mental and emotional struggles taking a drink or pills is first choice. Somehow its more acceptable to admit to having a genetic disorder causing physical addiction from exposure to drugs and alcohol than it is to admit to mental pain and suffering because people think it's just all in their head that they are imagining and creating all their problems themselves because they're weak in some way. Guess what, it is in peoples heads, but it is organic, it is brain chemistry and it may also be genetic because it tends to run in families. No one wants to watch a loved one suffer this way and because they don't really understand what is going on they grow frustrated when their love one won't take advise and just get better. As someone with brain chemistry issues having struggled since childhood and watched my family struggle and be hurt by what I'm going through I've learned some important truths. One: ultimately my disorder is mine and I need to be the one to do the work of figuring out what I need and accept there isn't a quick fix. Two: family members may need to be taught by the one with the issue how they can help. Stop being afraid to speak up for yourself you may be surprised one day. Three: what needs to be understood is this will probably be a lifetime struggle and learning experience for all involved requiring unconditional love and understanding also acceptance on everyone's part that everyone needs a break at times. That's the great things about families one can step up when another needs a break including the one with the problem it's amazing what they can do in time. Four: coming to accept there is no quick fix, no just getting over it and no one is able to make it all better. Five come to know it's going to be a day by day struggle for everyone and the best way to help is to develope charity or Christlike love or unconditional love inside your self so you can find the patience to actually give your loved one what they need most which is support. That support can come in many ways but the best is a listening ear when the pain becomes overwhelming and there is a need to vent it can be invaluable this applies to everyone and is repeatable. I read a scripture from a book used in the religion I follow and it gives a list of the things we are willing to do if we really want to follow Christ the one that stuck out the most to me was - "to mourn with those who mourn". I picture that as giving hugs, listening to them, crying with them and making it okay for them to feel whatever their feeling. The quickest way to get through pain is just to feel it and it will move on a lot faster and naturally then it will if we try to ignore it refuse to accept or acknowledge it. Our feelings need to be validated it's how we validate ourselves and others. Six: endless patience and acceptance for everyone when they backslide, whether it is the one missing and not taking medication as they should or the supporter getting impatient and upset when things seem to be overwhelmingly going wrong. Be able to accept not being perfect and try try try again. That's what I've learned maybe these things don't apply to the Roberts siblings but the things written about in the comments are very familar to me and I think a lot of families are going through the same struggles. Name calling and harsh judgments are not healthy or helpful to anyone it comes only from a false sense of superiority that's also not healthy. Blessings to everyone❣️🙏🙂‍↕️

I think that when your entire world revolves around pretending, you are destined for a doom of sorts. There is no reason for Julia Roberts to be so bitter, and to have let herself age so fast. I do not like her. But, the cameraman was obviously ripe for the picking. When his wife begged Julia to stop, the battle was long over already , I’m afraid. Still, it does illuminate the callous and bitter nature of a ( once ) beautiful and very wealthy woman.

Ask Eric about that one - who also felt slighted by Julia who grabbed onto his coattails before she became famous & then once surpassing him, had little to do with him afterwards. She is not & apparently never really had ever been a nice person... She also seems to be getting very witchy looking though as she gets older - matching up with her purported personality

I'm so glad she finally found true love. It was sad her sister was jealous of Julia's achievements and took her life because of it. It's not fair that Julia was mentioned in the suicide letter as her being the cause. Julia had a right to pursue her dreams. It was unreasonable of her sister to blame Julia for her choice to end her own life. While I feel sympathy for her sister, she shouldn't have blamed Julia. What a heavy burden for Julia to bare.

The blame casting on siblings, ALL OF THEM, not just Julia, reveals extremely low self esteem, and it was her decision only, knowing she was hurting her mate. She wanted for once, for her siblings to feel as bad as she did. In a nutshell!

As far as driving someone to suicide….what had she done to prevent it, where there is smoke there is fire…also who does she think she is? She’s an actress, who I might add is only playing herself over and over in every role. Her looks have faded but what’s left is not pretty just an entitled woman who breaks promises (engagements) steals husbands and steps all over people who clearly reached out to her and was met with dismissive coldness. Good on ya Julia. Never liked her…
