I met Joe on a random Sunday afternoon a year ago. He was coming back from the grocery stories with two bags in hand. We started talking and he began talking about his wife's passing, a reminder of the burdens and grief the people you see on the streets carry.
I couldn't quite grasp how Joe was so able to accept all the death that happened in his life, and I think you can see how it has shaped him. I hope we can take on a little bit of Joe's stoicism and acceptance in our lives, without the grief, or grief delayed for as long as possible.
