It is so admirable how much effort the person who runs this channel put in. Thank you for continuing to provide the HS community with useful information and videos!! ❤
I can manage pretty decently without disenchanting anything besides nerfed cards, but I don't have a very high # of decks played per expansion, 3 or so on average, and that aforementioned nerf dust pretty much covers the Epics/Legendaries needed for those. Don't forget to save up as many Standard packs as possible for an expansion release, it really does help a ton to stretch your Gold when you can get all Commons and most Rares for free on day 1.
11:05 I'm not sure I would mark Hooktusk as useless when rogue is about the get a pirate summoning package. Also stealing the opponents whole deck in wild has always been fun. To anyone reading, I wouldnt dust her personally.
Same feeling I get with Twist, though that one has the problem of many cards being so old/bad that a much larger percentage of people Dusted them because that's a completely reasonable decision.
I usually keep my cards until I really need go get some dust. Then, I disenchant the blatantly useless ones and then the niche ones of classes/archetypes I'll never play in wild.
I used to be an avid collector ("whale") but when they got rid of classic cards overnight (I had invested a lot of resources to get them all golden) and moved them to the useless classic play mode (that nobody played) AND with no refund (despite promising it would be an evergreen set) - I just disenchanted the lot, and stopped playing Wild. I know many friends who did the same. I briefly got into Duels and had started saving cards on rotation - but now that is going - I see no reason to keep them. I will disenchant them. By doing this and saving my Gold - I have not bought any pre-purchase decks or mini-sets for the last few years. And just use in game gold. Blizzard screwed over its long-term fans big time and the knock on effect has been HUGE - players like me have completely withdrawn our financial support for the game. Why would I invest real money into any cards/modes when they have shown they can completely get rid of it overnight - with no compensation [classic cards - DEAD, mercenaries - DEAD, duels - DEAD, twist - soon to be DEAD]. So now - I still play and enjoy the game - but I do it for FREE. On a positive note - thank you for running this channel. Thank you for all your informative content. You do a fantastic job!
Thank you for your analyse. Since the time Blizzard put reward track on hearthstone, I stopped disenchant my collection bécasse I managed to collect 95% of all cards for free. I can understand that Duels give interest to old wild cards, as twist mode, so the cancelling of these modes Will destroy oportunities to use our old cards. I did not play them, except for testing 1 ou 2 weeks and then stop. My experience on them was cristal clear : 90% of combo / otk that you can not counter. At the end games was only draw runs in with the one Who get his combo first won. It confirm my opinion : combo deck destroy HS, and playzrs don't want to play such méta game. I'm sad to see game mode desapear, but it as to because it was useless because of imbalance and golfish meta. HS must not have tiers 1 combo decks, as you can't interact during opponent turn. Same for wild, so at the and I dont't disenchant cards just because I don't need to, not because I want to play them after release.
Blightfang was very effective in Even DK in Wild until Year of the Wolf. Colaque was a standard include for the Togwaggle Druid in Wild until Twig of the World Tree got nerfed.
I'm holding onto all my cards, as usual. It's always nice to know I got every Common/Rare for anything I want to make in Wild(or Twist in theory), including some fun/silly decks, and anything Epic/Legendary I need I'll just craft like normal. Though, I do admit that there are a good few handfuls of cards I'll probably never use, so yeah, always keep an eye on that extra value if you need it.
Same, even just one covering basic principles, like certain keywords such as Resurrect which only gets better as minions get better, and has viability in some broken combos even though all the pieces for it don't exist yet.
Great guide! Personally, I can't usually bring myself to dust cards as I just enjoy having the collection too much. But it is nice to know which ones I should consider if I ever find myself tight on dust.
I have roughly 20kish dust and 40kish dust in extra cards if i really needed it. I also have about 8.5k gold saved up. So between all these resources I should easily be able to go F2P which is my plan. The only class I would *like* to have all cards for is death knight as its my main class. I dont think i will dust any of my cards just yet as i do hope there is a reason other than just playing in wild to keep them but if i need the dust i'll come back to them.
Mys suggestion is - if you don't really need dust, justdon't disenchant any card. I profit from random nerf many many time from keeping my rotated cards untouch and disenchant them when it got nerfed. Well, most of them don't be nerfed but if somehow it got randomly nerf one day you'll get 4-8x more dust.
ever since blizzard toid us that duels is going away , I just disenchanted ALL my wild cards cuz I feel like the only mode that they want to keep on supporting in traditional HS is standard. I use to be a wild player, then duels player. but now I see no point in playing anyother mode than standard. Im still REALLY sad about duels going away, but it is what it is.
My advice is for everyone to not purchase the pre-order expansions. Only to get random cars and random legendaries you might not like. Wait for golden Mini set to come out and purchase that instead. That way, you can disinchant all the golden cards and have enough dust to craft. All the legendaries you want. This gives you control on what you get for the same price. You can buy the packs and get stuff You do not like or want.
I don't play in wild, and since I'm using the strat you guys gave us to farm dust, I will destroy all the cards rotating, thanks for this guide anyway =D
I really appreciate the effort out into these reviews, but the Dr Doom review is an example of confusion. They stamped it as useless, but then verbally said it was useful.
I'm playing the long game, only disenchanting nerfed cards, in case a card coud get buffed at some point But Yes stat sticks like Dr Boom woud be one of the first i woud disenchant if i had to
I will never disenchant for wild, especially because they are open to buffing cards. Slowly but surely haha Also I think a a wild player they did the most they ever did so I would say it was enough for that year alone for sure 100%. Took them forever but they definitely did it!!!
as a 10 year old player take my advice - don't listen to the advice of these videos if you are planning on playing wild - wild is great if you want to get to legend fast, usually take around half the time to reach legend in wild than in standard. you never know which cards eventually popup in wild. example: devourer of souls, a 1 mana 1/3 with an effect than can chain in combo's being useless is pathetic
Seriously? You're going to ask us to follow your guide when your 5th choice (the Scourge) to disenchant is uncraftable??? I'm stopping right there and moving on to something more reliable
It is important for me to keep track of the usefulness of free (uncraftable) cards. I always include them in the tops because they demonstrate how good the gifts Blizzard makes.
