The Scourge. Death Knights. The Lich King. These are among the most frightening, tragic elements of Azeroth’s past. The awful beings residing in Icecrown Citadel are dark, brooding, and terrifyingly powerful…they’re obviously ice cold, but also really, really cool! In Hearthstone’s next expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne, we’ll find out what happens when the heroes fall from the light, and what will they do with the immense, terrible powers they’ll have when the Lich King raises them as Death Knights.

Always remember, that the meta is a double edged sword. One side control, the other aggro. Aggro calls to you, when you are most bored, when climbing the ranks seem worth any sacrifice. The meta will be ruined by such decks, and many eagerly accept the bargain. The clever and the fun-loving may recoil at its cost, but they have no Patches Aggro alone is not to be feared, fear instead those who play it.

Dank Potatoes Always remember... that the meta is a double edge blade. One side control, the other aggro. It calls to you, when you are most frustrated. When getting legend seems worth *any* sacrifice. There is your soul to be paid for such a deck and shamans and warriors, eagerly, accept the bargain. The priests and mages may recoil at this cost but they have no ambition. *Aggro alone is not to be feared. Fear instead those who play it!*

Remember, even if it's just because of his hood or because he has his eyes closed, they *chose* to draw him like that for this specific shot. It was a clear design decision, especially if their eyes are the last thing you see.

Never forget how this expansion changed the meta. Each of these dark heroes are so powerful that it has gotten necessary to put almost each time one of them in one of your decks if you want to succeed in the ladder.

One of my favorite trailers. I was just getting into hearthstone when this came out and I was blown away by it. It’s why I ended up maining mage. I got frost Lich Jaina as my death knight and I felt it was fate to play her.

Knights of the Frozen Throne, Saviors of Uldum, and Descent of Dragons were the three expansions that I was the most hyped for, and of the three, this was THE expansion I was the most excited about. And it did not disappoint me one bit.

Frost Lich Jaina is still one of my, if not top, favorite cards to this day. its at the helm of my Odd Elemental Big Spell mage. only card that i might like more is Janalai the Dragonhawk (because who doesn't like 7 mana Ragnaros with an extra body and an immunity to summon secrets?). coincidentally, that card is ALSO in the deck. Ragnaros with lifesteal is so good.

Well Check the trailer again and pause it before the eyes are shown. Gul'dan is present on the left with a Scythe. Anyway just pause it where all the characters are. I am sure you will count 9 heroes. He just has his eyes covered.

Sad to see this expansion will go to the wild format, I personally love this expansion so much. It gave all of the classes a new hero card and it was cool! Back in the day the only class who can do that was Gul'dan and I've always wanted all the class to do the same thing, then when I got back in Hearthstone (It was when Kobolds and Catacombs was released) I noticed all of the heroes have a new hero cards and I was excited! The first one I got was Garrosh. I will never forget this expansion!

Why is everything Lich King related so freaking awesome? The Wrath of the Lich King trailer for WoW one of, if not the most epic, the trailer for the Fall of the Lich King was badass, Arthas's actual boss fight was amazing and we finally got a raid boss that was actually too powerful to be put down by a bunch of randoms, 'Arthas, my son' is in my opinion the best soundtrack from the game ever, and now the trailer for KotFT is just as cool. Maybe it's just me, I dunno

I haven't played Hearthstone in over a year (Kara expansion) and this expansion reveal and the Hero cards got me so hyped to play the game again. Thanks alot Blizzard and Ben and the Hearthstone team. Icecrown Citadel and The Lich King I loved these things from Warcraft III and WoW: WOTLK. Can't wait to play it in Hearthstone ;)

You know, I can't help but wonder if Jaina could wind up following in Arthas's footsteps after seeing this trailer. I know it's Hearthstone and all, but still. Jaina as a Lich Queen would make a badass villain.
