I share your exact opinions on this matter. The main reason I've always preferred arena is because you get more diversity in decks and cards used. It quickly gets boring to play against the same net decks over and over in constructed.

With my last arena run i had: 3 Lich Kings 1 malygos 1 yogg It was an amazing expierence! As was it for my opponents. Almost half of my oponents friend invited my for telling how awesome game it was!

My first draft for arena after the patch was Mage with 4 primordial glyphs

Hadn't watched Kripp for a few months and the new camera caught me the fuck off guard, it's like I'm sitting across Kripperino while he updates me on what happened to arena.

For what i've seen not always the three cards are on the same power level but often at least 2 out of 3 are, so you have some decisions to take

Kripp makes some great points about powerful decks not highlighting underused cards. I'm having a blast with the OP decks rn, but assume it will get old.

Today i drafted Rin the first deciple and Kazakas in my warlock deck, was great...

20:59 actually there was a way out: Topdecking arcane intellect into ice block + fireball or frostbolt(+hero power) into topdeck pyroblast!

Had 6 legendaries on my first draft of the updated arena. 12 wins lol. Paladin with valynyr, maly, ysera, curator, voraxx, and tarim. 3/4 spikeridges too.

Kripp is right as always. I drafted a deck immediately after the new system came out. I was reluctant to pick hunter, but I did. I didn't think I would get decent cards. Then I got 2 spellstones and 10-12 secrets and 6 legendaries and amazing midrange and draw. I probably misplayed more than I could count, and I got 5 wins (but fought ridiculous decks). This is coming from me, who with my best ever most carefully picked and best played arena decks got 3 wins (I know I'm noobish). But I was 4-0 before it got bad. New arena is much more interesting

Kripp been playing since beta and almost exclusively arena and he's still using hearth arena, absolutely mind bogling.

One would expect that reducing variance would be right up kripps alley, (if all the decks power levels are higher and the picking rewards skills a bit more is more fair)

Trying to get better at arena but I always come across people who seem to have the perfect answer to every play I have.

I think its more complicated that just pure card quality. My first deck in new arena was completely broken control priest (I dont know the score cause HearthArena was broken), but it went three wins. And my next deck was 68 points warlock which went 12 wins.

I have a feeling Kripp just drained all his luck during that arena run :P

They probably need some time to tune it a bit based on feedback so lets hope they pull back on the quality of cards alter on

So... I’m having an IOS issue with hearthstone It’s telling me to update. You know, the “tap anywhere to update” screen But when I tap, it opens safari and gives me a message “could not open page because the address is invalid” And I can’t download and reinstall because my App Store vanished, and I get the same “invalid Adress” whenever I try to download hearthstone or the App Store off of safari

I have jaraxxus the 6/6 hogger marin and the darkness 2 voidlords a siphon soul a soulfire felfire potion and the spell stone and 3 defiles which work perfectly with the hogger to full clear a board since it spawns 2/2s everytime it gets hit so if theres a 1 and 2 hp minion i can hogger defile to deal 8 dmg to everything

I actually ended up drafting a 63 with this, heartharena wasn't showing numbers so I had to judge cards myself, and I suck so it didn't turn out well.

I agree that arena cards should be more in the mid power level range of cards but at least for now its nice to be able to make semi constructed decks without having to pay blizz tonnes of money to be able to make a cool deck like cubelock.

I agree. Before the patch it was exciting to get good cards. Now you just get them. And your opponent gets them. I like to have more good choices, but current Arena feels weird. Like a tea with too much sugar in it :)

Is it just me, or is every deck crazy after this update? I went up against back to back priests who both had mind control, FFA x2, The Lich King, Dragonfire x2, etc...

My first arena run when it came out I was drafted 14 of the new hunter spell only for arena.. come on that is bs that wasted an entire potential pick for half of my picks.. 0 legendarys the second run i was warlock and had 7 legendarys.. something seemed off lol
