The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
TY is the one that wanted out of series for quite a while, thinking he would get better parts. Stupid man, considering the show revolved around him and Amy.

How the hell can they force an actor to be a part of a series that he no longer wanted to be a part of?! Are you stupid?! In the show, Amy is still a very young woman, and you expect her to stay single and lonely for the rest of her life?! So freaking unrealistic. If you no longer like the show (and I can’t see why, because it’s still a great show) then you should just not watch and stop trying to influence the fan base with stupid opinions about Ty and Amy. Ty is DEAD because The actor, Graham Wardle, wanted to leave the show. Accept it and move on, or don’t watch!🙄
Personally I would like it to continue through Amy becoming a grandmother. My wife and I cannot get enough of this series. The writing, acting, music, and scenery are the best.
I’ve been watching Heartland for many years. I’m almost 80 years old. The story of Ty and Amy was truly a once in a lifetime love, however, as time goes by, in real life we try to feel that void. It’s time for Amy to start living again, it’s not fair for her to wither away in the past. Amy needs to find her new love!!
I have binge watched all the series now. Im hooked. Can't wait for season 18 🎉 I was sad to see Ty killed off. But im really wishing Amy can have a happy ending and find love again. She deserves that ❤

yes I find the series much less exciting since the death of Ty Borden. I adored this series and the complicity between Amy and Ty. Here in France I'm in season 15, I've watched it but I'm less attached to it.

I've been watching Heartland for many years now. Totally awesome show. Would not like for this series to be over. Totally love this show. Need to continue showing this series. I'm curious to see where it goes from there.
I just found this show. I know I heard of it. But I've been binge watching it. And honestly I don't want it to end. I have fallen in love with this show. It's taken almost 2 weeks, and I'm still not tired of it. And I'm really hoping and praying that season 18 is not the final season. I want to watch it over!!!💜

Ty is home, can’t change that. Can’t bring him back from the dead (it’s not days of our lives.. lol) I would love to see Amy happy in love again, who wouldn’t!! I’ll be devastated if show finishes up!
I absolutely love Heartland. It is #1 show of all time. Great cast. A lot of tears. I also loved the songs in the show.❤❤❤Its about Family. I have all the DVDS.😃

I just have to wonder if the magic between Ty and Amy may have cause friction with their real significant others. I can see where it might have. Or, who knows, maybe Ty was in love with Amy and it was too much for him? Idk, but I sure miss him on the show. I wish they’d bring him back, in whatever storyline, it wouldn’t matter to me. Ha. They could move the story faster & be together until Lindy gets married. That would be the best finale!!

I like to that you said Caleb it makes sense. Nathan is okay but I think Caleb would love Amy like Ty did. I wish the writers would have Amy talk about Ty a little more. They say this is based a little bit like real life. Though in real life a wife doesn’t stop talking about the man she fell in love with specially with their young daughter. I know Amy will never forget Ty but she kinda is if she doesn’t mention Ty to Lyndy. Ty was her Dad why wouldn’t you want your daughter to know her daddy. Amy can still move on but still talk about Ty.
I think the writers should be able to think of a way to bring atty back! I immediately came up with a scenario. It would be easy . Ty could have a twin no one knew about. Ty could come back, and it would slow Ty and Amy to fall in love all over again. Problem solved!
I've been watching the show on Sundays at 5pm. Have no idea what season it is. Ty is dead. Georgie is training for the Olympics. Tim is married, Lou and Peter are not but Peter is still in the picture. Jack is married to Lisa. Katie is almost grown. There is what I think a potential new match for Amy - I can't remember his name. Anyone know what season this could be? Okay, to everyone who wants Ty to come back. Ty is dead. He's not coming back. To those who think Amy should remain true to Ty's memory -- get real! She's a young woman. Practically everyone else in her family is paired up and she's supposed to live alone? You guys are mean! She deserves to be happy, Lyndy deserves a father. Have a heart, people. I was sad when Ty died but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the show. I look forward to watching it until it's done -- hopefully well into the future.
We know from the beginning that Amy and Ty would be together till his untimely death,but if they keep saying that Graham is coming back,he should still be with Amy. Unless he comes back in dream sequence then I think I could handle her going with another guy,but not Nathan
I think the new guy should be able to fill Ty's shoes but also distinguish himself from him somehow. It is a tough task. I wonder how will they handle it.
We all have to overcome loss it's part of life in the real world. I'm looking forward to the progress of her relationship with Nathan. He's growing on me.
The series isn't the same without Amy and Ty, now it seems like the episodes are boring, all that made the series so special is gone, not sure what can be done because even if they bring back Ty which I totally support, they have to do it where it makes since, once you kill someone off very difficult to bring them back to life again without so type of conspiracy factor
I'd like to see Amy in charge of Heartland and let Jack relax with his wife, showing Lindy how to care for animals the right way and teach people how to be around horses, other wise move into the youth center house and do her work from there as well at the youth center things and stop being lou's lap dog, lou get's ideas and everyone else has to make it work and I for one am sick of it, just let amy grow her business and raise her child with her interfering all the time, on dvd when im watching them if its just lou I skip ahead till its not just her cause sorry this is just me am I am allowed to think this , she annoys me and i dont want to see or hear her if i can help it, others like her and thts fine but not me

I watched the first 6 seasons of Heartland and thought it was a good story line and series. For me, it ran its course. After that, it went on and on becoming a long winded boring soap opera. I liked Heartland like I liked the Harry Potter (HP) movies.. 8 HP movies was Ok whereas 18 would be nuts.
Ty and Amy’s relationship was the entire focus of the show. The show just isn’t the same. Although I’m still watching it I find it boring and unfulfilling. Seeing Amy with any other man just doesn’t work for this show
Ty dying was “jumping the shark” but may have been unavoidable due to the actor moving on. Idk. but Either way, realistically Amy being so young should have another love interest as it is fair and normal for her to move forward. Viewers should know this is ok I. Reality so it needs to be part of this story. This man can be portrayed as highly sympathetic to Amy’s past and what happened with Ty but portrayed in a way, that he is helping Amy get past and move on for Lindy’s sake and it’s what Ty would have wanted! Ultimately for her personal happiness and added story line.
Why is everyone wants ty back.. it would look odd.. he died... So it's part of what life is... If he came back it will be like Star woke getting killed by a lightsaber and coming back lol..😅😂🎉❤
Love this show so much!! It never fails to interest me. Such a caring show. I do think Amy should move on with another man. As much as I would love Ty to come back its not possible.
Let’s be realistic here for what ever reason Ty was killed of for by the producers should remain as such, At this point Amy needs to absolutely move forward and if it’s with Nathan Pryce so be it, Amy’s daughter needs a father figure in her life and if he’s willing to step up to the plate let there be happiness
Amy needs a man in her life. Why should she live like a nun. If they plan on bringing Ty out of the coma replace the character with someone else if the original Ty doesn’t come back. Ty and Amy were okay but they lacked the passion of a truly loving couple. Georgia had passion with Quinn. Caleb and Ashley had passion. Lou was downright whorish. Ty and Amy were about dead in that area. Ty had more passion with the other women he encountered before he married Amy. Just find the right man for Amy. It gets on my nerves how everyone else can have a relationship and they treat Amy like she shouldn’t have any desires as they happily screw around. Heartland is a family with a lot of issues. I pray they find the right woman for Caleb. Cassie was not right for him at all.
Ty passion with other woman really, Amy gave better kisses to Caleb, Chase and oh yeh the prince. She talked softer to other men and batted her eyes. When it came to Ty she treated him like crap. So yeh zi suppose she would move on to another man. She can be like her sister now
