Amy and Ty grew up together in their relationship, from older teens to into their thirties. And we became part of their up and down relationship. Highs and lows, to highs! That is why the character Ty’s death hit us all hard. The show will never reach that high again but the writers, directors and actors are working real hard to bring us along. I give them all a great deal of credit.

Amy always said she loved Ty so much, but she hardly proved that. She didn’t accept being engaged to him because she accepted gifts from Ahmed. She was still wearing the necklace at the dinner. She blamed him because he didn’t tell her that Blair had kissed him but she had kissed Chase and he forgave her. She really didn’t love Ty like she sai or she would have accepted the blame for her actions.
Well put Joanetta! I enjoyed every moment of Ty telling Amy they needed a break and to see the expression on her face was priceless. She deserved everything she got. Simply put she was a cheat and treated Ty like dirt. He did everything for her, she knew it but still it was all about Amy! Just saying.

In Amys mind, as the saying goes "Love means never having to say your sorry". That is pretty sad. It should be noted that Amy never admitted to having any responsibility (let alone empathy) for the emotional damage that she caused Ty to feel during either of their two breakups. In both cases she felt that it was Ty who was the one who was treating her unfairly. That meant that if he wanted to be with the great Amy Fleming that he would simply need to get over what she had done to him and take her back. If he couldnt do that then she would be "more than fine without him" as she was so proud to say. As we all know Tys unconditional love for Amy always won out and he forgave her without any admission or apology. That was so unrealistic and disappointing, even to many fans of Amy who wanted her to be a person they could look up to. As another person posted on another video, Amy really was "Heartless" toward Ty in how she often treated him. Nice spin off of the name of the show. Amy proved yet again that she was never really committed to Ty. She was always willing to look at options with other men. With this being the case, Ty should have had the courage to give up on her and ask for his ring back. At least then that decision would have matched the song lyrics from the barn scene. It also would have been a much more realistic response to her terrible betrayal in Europe and all of the lieing and deception that went with it. Once this was done, if she wanted him back then she would have to prove to him that her love for him was real and that she still wanted to marry him. Based on what she told her family during the "break" about feeling justified in moving on away from Ty, I doubt she would have done that. In fact I am postitive that if Ty had asked for his ring back during the gazebo scene that Amy would have simply nodded her head and agreed with his decision. Ty could have then said that he now knows that "they both will be fine on their own."
