My biggest problem with the original is that there was such a great buildup to a strong chorus from Kayn’s part to Ezreal’s prechorus but the instrumentals just fell flat. I feel like your interpretation of the chorus 100% fixes that problem, and like many of the other comments said makes a reference to the rockstar phrase. The rock also made the prechorus sound even more amazing imo ✨ That being said I think it’s kind of a waste to faithfully follow the instrumentals in the rap verses because it just highlights how repetitive it is in the original song. But this is meant to be a cover not a remix so I completely understand - I just think that you could probably go crazy and vary those parts like how you did at the end of the last chorus!!
Thanks and yes, that's a fair point! If I were to make this again, I'd probably do a bit more variation but then again when I made this I didn't think I'd be getting more than 50 views at best lol
my only pet peeve of this song is that they use rockstar instead of popstar since this is a pop song. Now this makes the story of the song more accurate 🤣
That was one of my favorite parts though. It packs a punch and not as soft as "popstar". I think it sounds badass, but you could say that about most of the lyrics in this song. It's very well written. The rap line goes haaaaard.
This is amazing. I really hope that if they make a comeback for Heartsteel this is the direction they go for, because the original just doesn't convey the character's personalities all that well in my opinion (especially Kayn)
