He was absolutely so gorgeous. He sounded great too. But then he was a Gibb brother after all. The Bee Gees helped write most all his songs and they did the Backtracks on almost everyone too so they actually helped him a lot. He did a concert with them. They were going to add him as a 4th Bee Gee but it wasn’t meant to be. He died before that happened. I’ve watched every Bee Gee interview they have on RU-vid and a couple others that aren’t. Absolutely love them. They were so amazing. Could you react to some of their old stuff I think you will like it. Massachusetts, To Love Somebody, my favorite is Words. All in late 60’s. I was to young to know these than but as time went on I learned to love them. They have sold over 220 million records. They wrote all their own music and countless numbers for other artists. In 1978 The Bee Gees had 5 hits in the top 8 for the year. Two that Andy sang. They wrote all of them, with Andy on his two. Anyway, if you couldn’t tell I love them all. I was married when Andy died but I remember hearing it on the radio and crying 😢. Thanks for your reactions
You are right. Andy's collaborations with his brothers were great, but he was great in his own right. He doesn't get the credit he deserves for being a really good writer.
Andy’s hit songs were written by his brothers (either with him or by them, themselves). Barry produced all of Andy’s records so you watched didn’t need them…but he really did… that’s what family did!
Actually, Andy's drug problems began long before he met Victoria Principal. When he did interviews after they broke up..he made it appear as if his addictions started after the breakup..but what actually happened was that Victoria gave him an ultimatum. He could chose the drugs or her....his addictions won out. Andy began to change due to the drugs. He became paranoid and would often stay holed up in his hotel rooms..especially when he was working on a show. That's why whenever he was hired for a show.."Solid Gold"...etc.. he would end up being let go.
Andy was absolutely the most gorgeous guy in late the 70’s into early 80’s…..& he was so kind hearted!! And yes….you are right about his addiction. Barry’s said in 2 different interviews that Andy’s drugs began wayyyy before Victoria. That’s actually why his wife Kim left California to go back to Australia after only 10 months of marriage & being there with him. Then after being separated just a couple of months & arriving back there, she found out she was pregnant. Kim’s also said that she knew someday drugs would get the best of him…..it was a matter of when. I’ve always felt bad that he never saw Peta (born in 1978) until she was almost 2….. & that’s the only time he ever saw her😢.
I know you didn't mean any of you insulting any harm but absolutely Andy needed his brother's it's not that he didn't need his brother matter of fact Barry was on all the vocals doing the background the back singing background and I think some of his brothers was on the instrumental so to say he didn't need his brothers is am absolute false statement in my humble opinion they needed each other they help each other without all of them there is no gibbs there is no brother's gibb or the beaches and I don't know and why we're talking about Elvis I don't know but I know you didn't mean any harm but I'm a big BG fan to save it ate his brothers I don't think that maybe worded right that's all anyway great song sad Barry's the only one left so maybe we'll be some more music come out of Barry love Elvis but wtf
