I really appreciate that you craft from a very small space. I used to live in a tiny house before it was a thing and when you have a family expenses are high too. We can have a few very useful tools and products and do a lot with them. Now that my children are grown I have much more craft stuff, but some of it took me years to have a set of colors. I buy things on clearance or really great sales and mix brands and it has worked well for me. Some of my favorite techniques were born of trying to get the look of a product I didn't have. Not having a spool of every color ribbon saves tons of space and you end up with the color you really want when you color it yourself. I really enjoy your channel, your resourcefulness and the inspiration you provide, thank you.
Mama Pillow* I too have collected over many years. Now 68 & spending a bit more. I have invested in tools & equipment that will enable me to continue making cards for family, friends and the odd sales, as my hands deteriorate due to Depuetrens Contracture. Enjoy yourself. Thanks for your comment.🥰🦘🦘🦘🌺🦋
It turned out very nice and I can't wait to try it. One day maybe you'll have an actual craft room but happy you have some place to do your beautiful cards for us.
Awww Natasha, you make me so HAPPY when you "create".... Adore these cards & you did make a smart crafty-👁️ decision when you used🌈 around the edge! So special, just like YOU! 💌🥇🏆🥰🦘🦘🦘
@Natasha Foote • My favorite is the gold-embossed card but I love your tip to only use a sentiment when you love the background. It's a great way to keep the card simple but it also saves you the agony of a series of decisions on what to add. Then your beautiful background disappears. Sad. Your quick tip has reduced our stress level and freed our backgrounds.
I have been meaning to compliment you on the way you do the double-sided tape on the back of your card fronts. You are the only person I have seen do it that way but it looks like a great way to do it - I will from now on!
Beautiful cards, as usual. ❤ I'm loving that silver background. Reminds me of the surface of the moon. Round it and pop it into a galaxy background and/or pair it with space-themed stamps.
I think of my cards as pieces of art and enjoy making the"fussier" cards. Every once a while I'd like to make some easier faster type cards and this idea is really great! They look good! Thanks for all your tips and ideas.
Wow! I love both cards Tash, I like the gold one even without the butterfly & ribbon.Think I'll try this technique this afternoon. Thanks for sharing your awesome creativity again with us!!
Your creative processes are just amazing. Again you have taken something really simple and turned it into a card that anyone would be happy to receive. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Love your ideas! It's much easier to use a small block to hold the ribbon down on top of your ink pad and then pull the ribbon through the ink. You may need to do both sides but often only one side is needed. Super quick and mess free (except the block needs a quick clean)
It's really great to see someone be so creative in a small space, I'm looking to downsize so it's encouraging and keeps me going in the right direction. Beautiful cards with a fun technique!
I love watching your videos because you do so much with so little and every time I watch I learn something new. Even if it’s something I’ve seen before you probably have a different twist. I look every day to see if you’ve posted.
Your embossing turned out so clean! Even the splotchy one where you had to use the dry brush. I’ve seen other crafters apply the embossing ink with a brayer to avoid getting the ink into the dips. Lovely finished cards as usual!
Before you brush off the silver EP from the card, I thought it would make an excellent galactic background effect. Perhaps someone else noticed too! Thanks Natasha! 💞
Hi. Two stunning cards, each with a different feel from one technique. Brilliant, a classy gold and a fun silver one! I can't believe how many techniques, hints and tips you managed to fit into this video AND produce two finished cards. Once again, my hat's off to you along with my many thanks. I love the way the watercolor rainbow edging picks up the colour of the sentiment on the silver card and once I use up my coloured ribbons I'm going to buy only white ones for card making as you have saved storage space as well as money with this tip. Fabulous video, thank you for sharing it.
Natasha, those cards are beautiful, love the rainbow border,I have a ton of embossing folder, just sorted them out last night, now I have a new technique for them. Tfs
Great cards again Natasha. You inspire me so much and your cards are the first one I look for every day. Then I realise that I saw you video the day before 😼
Gorgeous cards, I do love the effects of the 3D embossing folders when combined with other techniques like, heat embossing, various paint styles or ink pads, even using washi tape, ribbon etc. thank you for this latest video
Your cards are beautiful! 😍 Another ribbon coloring technique to try sometime; swipe the ink pad directly onto the ribbon or color directly on to the ribbon with your markers. Quick and easy! 😊 Thank you so much for sharing your talents!
Would never have thought of using heat embossing with embossing folders but they look great as always! Love the rainbow one especially, although I think a few rainbow coloured candles at the bottom would be perfect.
So inspired by both cards!! Thank u for completing the cards. The gold card just pops with beauty. The silver pops with color. Wonder what the ribbon with a butterfly on the silver one would have looked like? Have a superb day💕🐬hugs
I'm fascinated by your technique of leaving a little bit of the cover paper from your foam tape out, then ripping it off in situ. Have you done a little demo on that (or will you?). Great creativity with your cards.
Both of these are wonderful cards. I love the colorful frame on the second card. And great idea for heat embossing with a folder! I can’t wait to give this a try. Thank you for another fantastic video. You always have just wonderful ideas!!
Love the technique! Does the embossing ink come off the folder or does it stay sticky like stamps even though you clean them? I found I can color ribbon with alcohol markers too. Thanks for sharing Natasha!
