You say the T at the corners is an average so T = (70+100)/2 for 0,0 ?

So is there an actual video where Ron shows Excel method to solve the linear algebraic equations? He states that will show the method at the end of the video but I can't find it.

The following lecture is Lecture 12 - it covers converting the Heat Diffusion Equation into finite difference form and various boundary condition derivations. Lecture 13 applies it all using the Excel model. On the upper right of my RU-vid home page is a link entitled "Detailed Course Index." Click on it and it will take you to all of my courses- click on Heat Transfer and adjust screen zoom appropriately for your browser, scroll down and you will see all of the lectures listed on the left.

Does anyone know how would you do this on Solidworks?

is this also applicable on 3D heat transfer
@sparkinator735

Yeah easy - just set it up so instead of each point getting heat from just x,y it gets heat from every point around it. There's several ways you can set it up depending on whether you use a square grid or a different shape.

can we apply this method for radiation heat transfer problems?
@hkeidesen
@hkeidesen 7 лет назад
Well, the heat equation he used is only applicable for heat transfer by conduction. I guess you could use the same technique for radition problems, but you need to use correct heat equation. See Planck's Law for thermal radiative heat transfer

Thanks a lot. I know that equations change, but i just wanted some suggestion about the changes in the method of approach, if we are solving radiation problems.

Yeah, I don't see why no :). Give it a try!

title of playlist is '' ıntroduction'' , i suggest when you search you should write your requirement spesificly in RU-vid or something else
