I know a friend who commited suicide when she was 18 because she didn't have that choice and she couldn't tell her parents because they will either kick her out of their house or they will stop her study and force her to marry someone, most probably because they were conservative parents and her boyfriend also left her after he knew she is pregnant ,he was 24, so reality is very different than you think, and giving people choice can really save them

These particular patients are in a vulnerable state and have the right to expect that no one will confront and harass them for political or religious reasons--they're not lawmakers and they're not priests. If this group's intention is to "educate" women, they need to do so in an educational setting without pretending the women seeking abortions are doing so out of ignorance. I can assure you that women do not decide to terminate a pregnancy because they don't know what the stages of fetal development look like when enlarged on posterboard. The protesters had ample time to explain why they were demonstrating at the entrance of the clinic if it was for some reason other than to shame and harass patients. If they truly believe that abortion is murder (because life begins at conception) they should be protesting at fertility clinics where countless embryos are destroyed every day. Why aren't they? Because that isn't what they believe. They believe women should not have the same bodily autonomy and sexual freedom as men.

Do you agree that its worse to terminate a fetus at 8.5 months than it is to take the morning after pill. You see the issue is that using the word life for both contexts is words play and done purposely to conflate the generally understood definition of life in common language with the biological definition of when 'life' begins. Women often suffer immense personal trauma from abortion which is buried and comes back to bite them later. Wether you think abortion is ok, or not ok, women don’t choose abortions because they are fun/easy and you wouldn’t give one as a gift. Pro choice think abortions are the lesser of two evils and pro life think that keeping the child (followed by possible adoptions etc) is the lesser of two evils. Neither of those is ideal clearly. That doctor and those people both genuinely want to help the women involved. It’s debatable wether or not doctor cares about the unborn children. But they both care about the women. Only one group care about both. It’s a sad and imperfect response to a messed up situation. Ascribing the intention that the pro life people just get a kick out of frightening women is just silly.

That's simply not true! There are many prolife groups in the US that conduct themselves with grace. There's Jeff Durbins apologia church that does wonderful work both in front of the clinics and in helping women after they decide to keep their babies.

Fetus, especially in early stages, is an early form of human life, without consciousness and of similar development level as any animal fetus in the same stage. To call it a baby/child is a nasty propaganda trick from the religious far right. This freaks use special pleading, they believe it has a "soul" and therefore needs special rights as a person. But giving fetuses personhood rights can only happen if you take away the right of women to their own bodies. And nobody wants that universally, not even religious freaks. Otherwise we would have mandatory tissue/blood/organ donations to save lives of others (btw. conscious and otherwise viable persons).

Myself and many others believe the woman's life takes precedence over multiplying cells. 78% of abortions take place at under 10 weeks in England and Wales. Women who are making these decisions are well informed by their doctors and most likely feel terrified and guilty. But they are consenting to abortions, because they have a right to their bodies and futures. And if anyone can make a judgement whether they'd be happy parenting, or give the child the life it deserves, surely it's the mother?? if you believe that a foetus is a baby, you are totally entitled to your opinion to never have an abortion. Because you have control over your body, and that's a wonderful thing! Maddie P If you're living because you're INSIDE another human being, yes you're alive, but you're not yet a person, and you don't have an independent body because again, you're inside another person. A fetus is dependent on the mother's sole body to survive, a born infant doesn't need the mother's sole body to survive - any adult will suffice.

I disagree, a lot of women are unaware of what an early baby looks like inside the womb. Maybe they have been told, it's only a clump of cells, but evidently it is not. And if this changes even a few womens minds, it will litterally save human lives. No one, male or female should be allowed to kill an unborn baby.

It's not hatred and prejudice at all. They just believe that an unborn child is a living, breathing human just like the rest of us and therefore has a right to life that trumps the mother's right to freewill. Liberty and freewill is only fair if it doesn't take away another persons right to liberty and freewill. In this case the other person simply hasn't been born yet so is discriminated against as such. If you don't believe an unborn child is a "real" human yet then I dare you to say that to someone who has just miscarried. You would be swiftly slapped hard in the face and rightly so. Abortion should at most be a tragic and saddening very last resort, never celebrated or encouraged before all other options have been exhausted. If one can't handle the well known consequences of the reproductive cycle, one should not engage in the reproductive cycle. That's called responsibility. A word that should always accompany the word "rights", as one cannot be without the other. P.s. rape is involved in a very very very minute percentage of abortions and should come with its own set of laws and rights separate from other motives to abort and thus be treated as an entirely different subject. Secondly, expressing it in this way in front of a clinic, where the lady is taking pictures of people attending the clinic is a huge violation of these peoples’ medical confidentiality and autonomy. The intention behind this public demonstration in front of a doctor surgery is not to change minds- it’s to intimidate and incite violence and abuse at these women. When you see headlines in the news of people in the states attacking mothers and doctors for engaging in a service that is LEGAL, it incites fear in individuals for their safety. If you want to change minds, that’s not where you do it. If you believe it is wrong and immoral, go rally to change legislation. Standing in front of a hospital or clinic that offers abortion services does nothing. If you can objectively prove to me with evidence that it reduces the rate of abortion, and makes any meaningful step towards changing the law, then I’ll be darned.

It is comprehensive and lays out all the facts- it doesn’t sugar coat, its doesn’t hide anything. Doctors are obliged to fully inform there patients of everything before they consent to doing the procedure, if they so choose to do it.

@Halli Day I would not be intimidated by that sad, evil woman. I have faced much scarier people. All I was saying is that she is TRYING to intimidate them. The pro lifers behave in the opposite manner to her; they show patience, self control, restraint and respect. If the pro lifers were trying to tell the truth about abortion, that it is the cruel murder of the innocent, and save babies from being dismembered, then they were certainly doing good. Their cause is a just one. History will shame all who position themselves on the side of abortion, just as those who defended slavery.

I know of no pro life advocates who have a problem with this, which is also why I said it was irrelevant. The abortion issue is about the murder of innocent children, 99% of the time for convenience.
