That’s a perfect lesson in acting for any young actor. “Aw man I don’t have any lines what am I gonna do?” Is the perfect catalyst for a beautiful scene. Heath ledger's joker is LITERALLY the best acting job I've EVER seen, I still can't even see that it's him when I watch it! I still remember him from "10 things I hate about you" and "a Knight's tale" lol. Strait legend.

It’s sad that heath passed. His role as the joker really showed his ability to become something else. I would have loved to see how he continued growing and what other great works he could have made.

Love the little detail when he puts his finger on the hammer of the gun. Even if two face pulled the trigger it wouldn’t gone off. The elusion of chaos and chance while always been in control. What a character and brilliant acting and directing!

i find the finest actors never really "pretend" to be anyone or attempt to portray anyone, rather they reveal how they actually would behave in those various scenarios-just accentuated or amplified or dramatized pertaining to what is necessary.Easier to share yourself than invent someone who u dont know or ever met.

I will never forget this was the first movie that I was about an hour and a half in and the hospital just blew up and I was thinking the movie was almost over because it felt like a culmination scene and the kids were on the bus and all of a sudden the movie took a turn and it kept going and I was like WHAT?!?! WAIT THERE'S MORE!?! I was already happy with the 90 mins I had, & had no idea I was about to get another 90 mins of amazement. Christopher Nolan is the only director to do that to me. And then he did it more than once.

Still one of the greatest movies and heath absolutely showed a master class in acting

Know what makes a fantastic villain? One that's relatable to his chaos/madness. You know exactly how he got to that crazy because you've been on that edge before. So writers, if you can connect a character to an audience and then connect the audience to the chaos, you have yourself a villain.

Greatest Joker of all time. His Tom Waits impression is just spot on. He talks exactly like him. I do love Cesar Romero’s Joker as well from the old Batman show with the legendary Adam West. Rest In Peace, Adam, Cesar and Heath. Edit: thanks for all the thumbs up! I just wanted to say that, while I do love Heath’s joker, I also love Joaquin’s joker. But I don’t like to compare the two, because they take place in different times and they also have to show you the man that became the joker. In the beginning of Joker, he is a man that has a mental illness that gets picked on by assholes. So we can see him transform into this iconic persona. And by the end, Joker is born.

I remember I audibly gasped in the theater so loud at this scene, Heath's makeup, wardrobe and lines were perfect, the "hi" when Heath takes the mask off,,, omg, what a "Jesus Christ" moment, I clapped and about 5 or 6 other people joined in, what a great piece of work that scene is.

I remember wanting to see Heath in this role when I first heard about it. He did NOT disappoint. Gone way too young.

Heath's portrayal of the Joker may be the most iconic because he really wasn't trying to act like the Joker. He BECAME the Joker. Everyone since him has been doing a portrayal of Heath's completely original take on the character. Nicholson brought the character to life on the big screen and Heath perfected it.

I went to see that movie when it came out and didn't even know the Two Face character was in it. What a treat. He did a great job.

What's crazy is he never showed any of this style of acting before this role. He was never seen as a great actor until this role. And he got this role right before his death, which cemented him as a great actor. If he never did this role, no one would be talking about him today.
