I just refurbed an V-7A and an AV-3 milli. Talk about super touchy! I rebuilt an IM-11 and sold it, never should have done that. Still use an IM-17 in the plastic box. New tubes on these have to burn in for about 48 hours before calibration.
Extreme amateur here. I have this heathkit and a lot of preamp tubes and vacuum tubes I want to test. I know for testing continuity but what else should I be reading from the meters when testing a tube for it to be “good for use”
I wish I still had my IM-18 I bought new as a kit years ago. I no longer have a meter with an analog scale. I find them easier to see trends than a digital that just has numbers changing...
