hey thanks for this video! it helped a ton in figuring out how to go about restoring my IO-17, as you said, you couldn't find a manual; neither could i! closest i got was one in German. anywho thanks again!

I just fixed one of these myself but mine was in worse shape than yours but funny enough the Vernier pot was also stuck on mine but it was not that hard to get lose again. my 6BQ7 was cracked too and I had no replacement so I had to figure out a suitable substitute for it, all sockets were bad and a ton of resistors had drifted way past value, case had impact damage etc. I managed to find some decent schematics but in the end I just used common sense and did the work without them and it works pretty much perfect now

Because of it's horribly weathered condition it may take longer to clean it up than to replace the parts that should be replaced! Should mention to check all resistors for drift too Michael.Those electrolytic caps could possibly be restuffed because they are big enough! Looking forward to part 2 of the old girl. Why do I get the feeling whomever built it never really used it?
