I feel like girls with curly hair always want straight hair and girls with straight hair always want curly hair.

Coming from a black girl that naturally has hair like this if you don’t want any frizz than use a tiny bit of coconut oil while you are separating the curls. It makes all the difference in the world

I did this and my hair turned out soooo pretty!it took me 3 hours tho :( but it was worth it ! Highly recommend you to try this 😁 Btw I just did it again for Christmas it came out even better than last time plus it took me 1.5 hours

Here’s about how long it took her: Her first one took 1min 45sec Her second one took 1min 55sec So on average it’s 1m 50s with about 15 in between I’ll guess It looks like there are ~70 on her head so 70 X 2 min ≈ 2.5 hours

I’m 11 and if I do this hairstyle then ima be 100 years old when I’m done cuz I will keep on taking short brakes

As a naturally 3b curly hair girl all i have to say is that this is awesome! i love to see people try diffferent hair styles regardless of their hair texture. my baby sister (shes 28😂)has straight hair and i sometimes play with her hair using different ways to make it curly i have used this method on her and i must say it does work, She gets lovely results. all i have to say is weather your hair is curly or straight do what makes YOU happy.

Best tutorial yet! I tried it last night only I used WAY more straws, did them smaller and tighter to the scalp, and left them all night & all day.... And WOW the results are mad beautiful! (Only took me about an hour too) (helps if you just watch TV/listen to music) I found it easier to just use one rubber band to tie the straw it's so much quicker to take out that way. Also to damp your hair and use a curling/styling product before hand. Today is only my first day with the curls, but I'm pretty sure it's going to last a couple days if not a week! 😍 Thanks again for this vid! I'm definitely going to be styling my hair like this more often (:

If I wouldn’t have seen the before, I would’ve thought you were mixed by the end results. The curl shape, the poofiness, how the frizz makes the hair look like it has a kinkier texture.... mixed girl all the way lol, I swear even your skin looked tanner when you took the straws out 😂 I love it!

awesome tutorial, but advice from a naturally curly girl... always separate from the ends of your hair first and work your way up! its much less damaging that way. and you can also then massage your roots for more volume!

There's a lot of tutorials showing to pin the ends and roots with bobby-pins. I honestly don't have the will power to do that but with your method of using elastic bands I'm gonna try it.

To anyone who don't have any straws like me, what I did was use pens instead, and then I secured my ends with bobby pins. The ringlets came out a little larger than what's shown in the video, because I was using large pens, but it still did the trick! Hope this helps xx

I'm really not trying to be rude here, but can we stop with the whole "well naturals straighten their hair whats the difference?" The difference is that no one ever made fun of us and called us nappy headed, unprofessional, or told us we couldn't go somewhere with our natural hair. We don't have people telling us to brush our hair 24/7. We didn't face years and years of burning our scalps, getting infections of the skin, and literally losing all our hair trying to assimilate to what oppressors wanted us to look like. I love the way this girls hair looks it is beautiful, but stop telling women with naturally curly hair not to be mad when you do not understand the hatred and ignorance they have faced over hundreds of years because of their hair. There were literally laws put in place in louisiana to keep women of color from showing their natural hair. And to this day some schools in the south tell girls with curly hair they cant wear it natural for graduation. Please educate yourself on the discrimination our sisters still face instead of spewing more ignorance.
